I cannot disagree more here. I see your general point, but Americans love winners and if you're winning and producing, America could not care less what kind of person you are. Steph Curry is by all accounts a great guy, quiet and humble, and America loves him. Michael Jordan is by all accounts an asshole, brash and combative, and America loves him. If CP plays and wins, America will love him, end of story.

As for Adu...he was pumped up as a plastic marketing ploy rarely seen even in the commercial, advertising driven land that is the USA. He entered when the league and the country were looking for even a sniff of greatness and world class skill, unhappy with the good-but-not-great players we had. So desperate were they for something to latch onto, when they thought they smelled it, they pushed it into the spotlight and devoured it whole.

Now we have the two cases, one very sad of a man still a boy, and the other who is quickly checking off the boxes of chid phenom and if he enters manhood the same way he is absolutely crushing adolescence, well we'll all have what we've been looking for all along.

Quick question. This is kind of random and unrelated and I think somebody who has been watching the whole season can maybe tell me but has Dortmund wore their Away Kit this season? The reason that I ask is that I'm on the fan shop site looking at Puli jerseys and see the Away one and I immediately think, we haven't seen him in the away kit this season.

Anyways. Not trying to derail the discussion. Just an interesting observation that maybe isn't really an observation.

Everton are going to be a major rebuilding job - even if they can hold on to their big players like Lukaku, Stones, etc. Dortmund are in the CL. Daft idea for Tuchel, even if BVD were willing to trade. They aren't.

BigSoccer is becoming Silly Season Central this year.

The difference is that the EPL TV money helps spread the wealth, aka talent, around. In no other league, that is the case.

But, it'd naturally help Marseiile if they did not hire Michel to be their head coach.

Most Euro clubs don't play that sort of a game. Sure, they want a Korean, a Japanese and an American player on the roster - no Indians worthy of a contract yet - but they want him to fit into the team budget structure.

Having said that, with $160M in TV money guaranteed to any EPL club annually, there'll be a lot of fat contracts and fat transfer fees. Not to mention fat players like Gabby Agbonlahor.

Everton? Let's get real here. If Tuchel leaves and he naturally will at some point - though he might need to win something first and his Liverpool debacle won't soon be forgotten - he will want a much bigger fish to fry than what they catch and throw back at Everton.

Everton has new ownership and perhaps a much higher monetary reality and aspiration. Besides, which of the top half Prem teams is more likely to have a vacancy? Oh, I guess Arsenal would be one. (Not that I wish him to move; staying at Dortmund and building a machine like Bayern's could be better).

Maybe the perspective is different in the rest of the world because the PL is such a popular product everywhere, but Dortmund is the second biggest job in Germany after Bayern. Compared to that Everton has very little prestige. No German coach would be believe that Everton is bigger than Dortmund. They could by tempted by Manchester United, Chelsea or maybe even Arsenal but not by Everton who never even make the CL.

I don't wear jerseys much at all, and since I already have 4 (DC, US, Blackburn Rovers, Gor Mahia) I don't have much interest in a 5th. But I went online to get a Pulisic tshirt and came up empty. (I don't mean a tshirt of his, I mean a tshirt that looks like a jersey.)

Rep if someone can send me a good link.

Might be the worst jersey selection I've ever heard of.

Laying aside the painfully obvious that Tuchel would be faced with a choice of rebuild project or having a team with a legitimate shot at silverware.

The other thing is that Dortmund really has the look and feel of a class organization. If Tuchel were to leave they have a list of names of guys they would want to talk to, and you can bet your very last dollar that guy will play a similar style of football as to what they play now.

I think sometimes people forget this is not PL football or NFL we are talking about. The BL doesn't allow their teams to just throw money at their problems until they get resolved. They could not hire a coach and then give him a blank check to get players to play some totally different style of football. Any new coach would subscribe to the vision they already have and are working toward.

CP is a part of that and he has earned his spot on merit not because he is some special project of Tuchel's. He has earned his spot everywhere he has been, that is how he got here so fast. I have to bet he would impress the next coach just like he has impressed anybody who knows anything about football ,who has seen him play.

Please, just stop. Tuchel won't sign for a club like Everton, with all due respect. No-one in Germany cares about a club like Everton and no German coach would leave a club like Dortmund for Everton.

If you've followed Tuchel's career and his comments, it's actually pretty likely that he will end up at...guess what... Bayern Munich after Dortmund.

I don't think you fully grasp how much hair gel he needed to start using before they let him start on the first team. It is a first step. Soon he will have a tattoo consultant, someone to manicure his fledgling facial hair and just like that 'dead' pull-is-sick!

Why not? BM steals all their best talent anyway, why not CP as well in a few years? I do think that they talent they have stolen in the past was always players who have it in their heart to play for BM. Kind of like kids here grow up wanting to play for the Yankees, or the Cowboys (in years past), or the Lakers. I wonder what club (other than BVB of course) is in CP's heart?

And Barca. Lots and lots of little kid Barca fans, too. (Off-topic, but I had the misfortune of sitting behind a woman at a local Irish pub who supported Real Madrid and Barcelona.)

As for Pulisic, I just want him to be in a position for playing time at the highest level (top league and yearly CL). I don't care if that's Dortmund, Munich, Real Madrid, etc.

Another week, another Dortmund/Pulisic game on their lowly, niche FS-Plus. This one is even against Champions' League quarterfinalist, Wolfie. Way to stay small-time, Fox Sports. With thinking like that, they can overpay for all of ESPN's troll personas they want, they'll always be at best second banana to the Worldwide Leader who puts their content in front of the eyes of the general public as much as possible. Send your hate mail to chris.hannan@fox.com.

If he continues on his trajectory he'll get his shot. Gotze should be a warning though. Choose wisely and wait until ready.

If I were advising Hershey's Finest I wouldn't consider a move until after the WC.
