Correction. The character/mentality of a few was fantastic today... Bale, Lucas, Kroos and Isco. Everyone else was simply just meh... effed up the first half and did the bare minimum that is/should be expected of Real Madrid footballers in the second.

That is when you have a full preseason to properly setup a defined style of play and implement it gradually.. ZZ didnt have that so he needs to improvise unfortunately. Modric defends more than Isco and Kovacic .. If he wanted to rest both Modric and Casemiro something like this was expected but I guess he underestimated the opponent a bit and had hoped for Kova to play better today. He is still learning but still getting the results one way or another. And I am not blaming Kroos at all although at the end there he was totally gassed and not running at all.
I feel Vazquez is quality enough from the bench for the right wing and right midfield ( he can even play right back ) but I agree that there is a need for another forward.
The plan was when needed Real to play with Isco as false 9 Also Jese can be the sub..
