THANK YOU for the very useful information @shlj :thumbsup:....did you read that @Batfink ?....:rolleyes:....So OL has no obligation to let Bremer go !;)...By the way, why should DFB call Pauline for a U20 WC? I mean ,she already won one and clearly doesn't need another one to gain experience or whatever , plus Germany have got forward who could make a decent job like Sehan, Sanders, Ehegotz, Widak etc....seriously they shouldn't call her.
Thanks @gricio61 for the videos, this Spain generation is just scaring but I noticed they use the mostly same players for U20 and U19 selection , just like France, I wonder what will be their federation cup priority ?

Yeah, so 28th October - 16th November will see Lyon lose their best player, irrevocably damaging their season...o_O, and you clearly missed the part where I said it's a German women's program tradition now, that the very best young U-19 players should return to play a leadership roles for a second U-20 WC tour of duty.

It's not about representing the U-20's once, and then moving on to a no mans land of possibly playing for the seniors. Younger players who are good enough to help the U-19's once, are asked to come back if their actual age group group qualify for the U-20's.

Plus who are you, me, or anybody else, to say what the heads of the DFB, the U-19/20 coaching staff, or any of the German players should do at a WC...; this on the back of Germany reaching the last three consecutive U-20 finals, as if they just now somehow got this all wrong at youth level... lol.

Sehan isn't a forward, Sander's still new to the U-19 level, and a few weeks ago Widak just came back from long term injury. The only player you correctly identified Germany possibly using up front at the WC is Ehegötz, and this with Meinert already having 2 other players (Schüller - Freigang) ahead of Ehegötz in the forwards hierarchy right now.

Plus this U-20 WC being close to the time frame of Silvia Neid's long overdue departure, could be HUGE in the career of a young player like Bremer; but you don't want her to go to PnG because... reasons..., remaining completely oblivious to the needs or desires of the player, or the way Germany wants and likes to do things...?

Popp, Kulig, and Schmid, were once all brought back from the seniors to play on a U-20 team. With Germany's best U-19 team yet, Marozsan was called back to lend her services for a second run at a U-20 WC. Now Rauch, Knaak, and Bremer are most likely to be the returnees for Germany's latest U-20 cycle; so what's the big deal...?

Well if Lyon does not release the player and she decides to go without the club autorisation, the DFB and the players will get punished, it is quite simple to understand surely ?

No, it's very easy to understand... but... trying to bullsh*t the DFB about league games during the 28th October - 16th November...

Are you (and the DFB) realizing that you're exposing a twenty years old with many muscle injuries to an overloaded season only to win something she already has ?.......How selfish is that?!?!:speechless:

You honestly believe writing it in French made your childish indignation appear any more sophisticated..?

If the DFB want her, want are Lyon scoring 12 vs FC Merde Baguette every other weak going to do about it...? The USSF came calling for their girls, they all went back home to play outside the international calendar.

Quit crying about rules when a precedent's already been set...

If I was Bremer Id say if DFB wants me I will go and play and if Lyon won't let me Id never play a single game for them again. Especially when the reasoning behind it is merely the French FA and lot are shitting their pants about the prospect she could possibly spoil their umptiest attempt on actually winning the U20 title.

Overloaded season lol... your talking about the female French league right? A competition a fantastic Lyon side routinely run up double digit scorelines, make believing they supposedly face a rigorous time frame around 28th October - 16th November...

Yeah, your right. I can really see just how selfish it is to ask Rauch and Knaak to leave their inferior clubs and return to a second world cup too. Damn those DFB task maters for forcing their players to experience a second WC in a leadership role, following the path of other girls who ended up nearly completing disastrously negative hat-rick of U-20 titles for Germany... for shame!

    Ok everybody calm down....
What Shlj meant is simple, under the FIFA rules the participation of Pauline Bremer in this upcoming U20 World Cup doesn't depend on her willing neither on the DFB but only on Lyon. Like it or not these are the rules!! :D:p
So from that fact we can argue on the actual needs of a 20 y.o player who is currently on a very busy season where she already had a few injuries, she's a professional and very important player for OL so I really don't think they'll let her go...sorry Germany but you have to call somebody else ;).

@deby Shlj's funny but needless profanity made it perfectly clear what was intended to be understood here lol, but it's even more amusing to see the level of French themed hostility showcased for the idea of Germany's best U-20 player taking part in her second U-20 WWC; this when we've already had a more obvious precedent being set with the USSF demanding it's senior players leave French teams and return home to take part in U.S.wnt matches outside of the international calendar.

Yes, we've previously seen then #1 player in the world at the time (Marta) on huge wages in Sweden being retained by her club during a FIFA U-2o tournament; but the venomous reaction to a lone German youth international who's far from Lyon's most important player, possibly leaving to take part in her second U-20 WC late October - mid November, isn't/shouldn't really be a big deal for Lyon or French football...

I've read the Bremer's injury prone argument. I've read she's progressed beyond youth football argument. And I fully understand the idea of the international calendar too. But I'm not reading complaints about the next German U-20 side having other winners from the last tournament in it, and don't ever remember seeing complaints about Marozsan going back to a U-20 tournament as a more established senior international than Bremer is now either.

See, if any youth international in the Bundesliga wanted to go to a youth WC set to take place outside of the international calendar, late October - mid November, there would be ZERO issue from the fans or the club who pay her. So what's all this French based antagonistic nonsense concerning Bremer really about.. needing to follow the rules that have already been broken...?

I appreciate the fact FC Merde Baguette does not count as insult so that I can refer to French minnows clubs with this term in the future.

Okay I get it, this is apparently now a children's game. Remember, this is U19/U17, not Kindergarten.

Warnings for both of you and the thread is locked until further notice. Don't open a new one!

Nothing too fancy here. The favorites in each group played each other and the minnows played each other, so the only thing that seems decided is England's first place in group A.

The 2:2 draw between Germany and Spain saw three goals in as many minutes.

UEFA's constant inability to provide female U-17/19 free streaming (or any game footage) is becoming highly annoying, but I guess this is the same business model that see's European football's governing body swimming in so much unsullied money right now...
