A "FU, Cakes!" TIFO is in order. Then Dan Kelly could go on about the Fire nation being in love with the delicious funnel cakes available at the stadium. Mikey Stephens!
Things are so bad here that if Pauno manages some degree of success, does anyone see him staying beyond 2-3 seasons? Accam's gone after this season. If CFer starts dealing, think he'll stick around? lol The Fire have set themselves up as a stepping stone and only major organizational change and a boatload of money are going to change that. Depressing. FU, Cakes!
Any chance Hauptman shows up in the Panama Papers? Maybe a juicy scandal will embarrass Garber and his buddies and Hauptman can quietly go away (who am I kidding? It's more likely he's not bright enough and the rest of the owners are in the off shore accounts)
There's few Americans in the Panama Papers because we've eviscerated our own reporting laws so thoroughly, it's more efficient for citizens to hide their money right here in the USA.
And I wonder how many people are sweating it out worried that hackers will get their info out of the Caymans? Mr. Robot's fsociety will have a new target....
I would love to see President Sanders force regime change in the Caymen Islands and send the First Marine Chartered Accountants to take over and audit the place. After all, all war is economic in origin. Why not invade the Caymens?
P Funny, for years I've thought a naval "quarantine " of the Caymans would be the way to go. I've also thought I was the only one with those thoughts. Why risk collateral damage when starvation is more effective.
Make sure there's an actuary in the brigade as well - we want to be sure to get a through account of everyone's shoe's in the islands. . .we all know an actuary can't look someone in the eye, they only stare at their shoes.
I'm in the Statehouse in the land of Sanders this week. . . I'm a lefty, but it's batshit ridiculous here.
In other news, Chicago Fire has sunk to new levels of irrelevance in the Chicagoland marketplace. My local newspaper, the Northwest Herald in McHenry County, used to feature the Fire - in the past, they used to have relatively longer articles for home games, and on away days, they used to use 1-paragraph AP blurbs. The Fire had a spot on the "upcoming sports calendar" and box scores and a standings column were given on game days or reporting days. Now, the Fire have been removed from the calendar, no box scores, no MLS standings column, 1-paragraph AP write-up in "other sports news" on home games and nothing on away games. Granted, the paper did just reformat and perhaps the sports pages don't have as much space. (And I realize this is no massively read, hugely reputable newspaper, but it is our local paper - and certainly a sign of the Fire's continued slide...) Frustrating, really.
