Fair play to Manchester City. I wouldn't say they were impressive at any point, but they were smart and prepared and we did not deserve to advance.

I will pay anyone who can successfully argue that Blanc correctly handled the Aurier situation (his suspension, the length, his return, etc).

I know most of my comments were about Blanc, but a lot of these players should be disappointed in themselves. Though Blanc is primarily to blame so hopefully the focus will be on that during the next few days (doubtful since it's always the foreigners who are at fault )

Best player by far, as usual: Thiago Silva
    Pretty good: Rabiot, Marqui, Maxwell

    The rest:

He is okay. He was not good enough during the first leg (apart from the goal), but he did well enough today. Hopefully he won't let that inflate his ego.

But our midfield needs a huge overhaul this summer. Hopefully our new manager can make that happen and is able to attract actual talented players instead of the likes of Stambouli and Cabaye :D

The goal was onside though. That would have changed everything

yep .. i knew it .. ibra has no one to blame .. the moment he failed to score that penalty in the first game was the end for psg, it was game over, zlatan is quarter final specialist,

psg should start looking into his replacement ASAP

    Ibra? :ROFLMAO:

Sure, he wasn't one of our best players in either leg, but to only blame him when there were other players who were much worse? Not to mention Blanc's catastrophic coaching.

The real quarter final specialist is Blanc. He could have a team with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in it and still manage to mess up in the quarter finals.

I'm going to avoid repeating myself but what a ridiculous line-up by Blanc lol . I hope the board realise instead of throwing stupid money at one player how about getting some depth to a team that has injuries and suspensions every season in the CL .

Ibra completely bottled these 2 games . I agree with the person who said the moment he missed the penalty in the 1st leg that was it . Same old story

I'm at least glad that like 80% of the people that used to defend Blanc have admitted that he messed up very badly over both legs.

Time for Nasser to hop on board.

It hardly seems like he's questioning his own decisions when he added right after that "when the team wins it's always thanks to the players and when it loses it's because of the coach". It's time for France 98 and Pierre Menes to defend Blanc with the "he's my friend, he can't do wrong" logic.

It's impossible to defend what happened on Tuesday. He fielded a new system that he never experimented before despite a huge lead in L1 and on top of that this line up did not take into account players' qualites. With this kind of tactic, you would expect Kurzawa to start over Maxwell, for example. The players looked lost for very good reasons. If it wasn't for Motta's injury, he would have stuck to his crappy system expecting a lucky 1-0, french coach mentality at work here. His decisions were determinant in the outcome of this confrontation in a bad way whether it's how he managed the Aurier/Marquinhos and Lucas/Cavani case at home or this sabordage of a match during the second leg.
Pretty funny to notice that Pastore had a good entrance while Blanc benched him at the start of the season despite him being the best PSG player last season with Verratti. He doesn't complain near as much as Cavani in the press, that's probably why.

Aurier called him a fiotte and it'll stick because that's what Blanc really is : a coward. When the situation is not favorable he always acts like that : when France faced spain, PSG Chelsea 2 years ago and this thing two days ago.

If anyone needs to be replaced it's Cavani. Where was he during these 2 legs.

I don't like to criticise Cavani too much because he's always put out of position .

Whenever he's put in his favored position, he almost never delivers anyway. But I'm not blaming him for this. Just saying

I completely agree. It's so frustrating to see him always come up with excuses, but it's even worse after this horrific exit since he practically orchestrated the whole thing. He even had the audacity to blame the fact that the team wasn't "complete" due to having a few injuries as if Manchester City weren't also experiencing a ton of injuries! Not to mention, if you have a lot of injuries EVERY year at this time, wouldn't you go ahead and get better replacements during the summer transfer window? If we had gotten a quality midfielder during the summer instead of Stambouli (FFS), we would have had more options. Most of us predicted this scenario and we are not being paid millions to manage the team.

And again, I can't stress how badly he messed up the Aurier situation. You want to send Aurier to the CFA? Fine, but make sure his first game back is not a crucial game in the Champions League. And if he's literally having a nightmare of a performance, take him out, don't wait until it's too late like a coward. AND, don't play him in the return leg!!!

The Pastore situation makes me so sad. I really really hope we can get a new manager for many reasons, but one of the main ones is that I don't see Pastore sticking around if we keep Blanc since he has no real shot of earning a starting spot under him. Same with Marquinhos.

One of the worst performances I've seen from PSG. Rabiot, Maxwell and Thiago Silva were great though, Pastore and Lucas when they came on were good too as they tried to spark a bit of urgency into play, sadly everyone else simply didn't turn up. I feel Veratti and Matuidi (Although I know he doesn't have much fans on here) were badly missed. Unfortunately the only highlight of the trip was seeing them at their hotel before the game. Here's to next year.

I think saying he "almost never delivers" is harsh . He delivered in last seasons league cup final when Ibra was out . How often has he been put in his favoured position ? I don't think he's ever had more than 4 run of games in that position . It's not a quality issue it's confidence and Blanc clearly doesn't trust him .

I didn't get to watch my dvr of the match until way after it was over so maybe that gave me some distance as a fan? Anyway, this was clearly not a dominant performance (UCL 'hangover') and a few calls going another direction could have made a big difference. I am okay with the goal with the clearly offside player that was allowed but it also could have called back, maybe Paris' prestige was involved? In general a 'dummy' of the ball is considered a play on it even though it isn't touched because it is a deliberate play. Same for moving to avoid touching the ball as it passes under your legs and if it is a 'dummy' to the goal? Also there could have been a handling call in the box against PSG at about the 83rd minute -- I don't think there was a replay or much if any mention. As above not dominant and rather listless ... the celebration afterwards even seemed a little hollow.
It is just so long until the next group stage of UCL, I'm guessing players are looking forward to Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario more than anything domestic at this point? In the past I have defended Blanc to a certain extent but I would be fine with him having his C.V. updated at this point -- bring in a new manager and give him a solid budget for summer 'buys'?
