I can attest that I have told Hicks, personally, almost exactly this at least twice. The dude just doesn't listen to anything that isn't ass-kissing from anyone who doesn't pay him.
Actually owning the soccer conversation - in the real world http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/...n-messi-real-salt-lake-facility-plan-big-step
I saw this, and I have to admit I felt the inspiration. Looking at it from an inert perspective, there are limitations, holes, and flaws...but there is an undeniable actual vision. Something you won't see from #hauptmanout. His unique vision has been "fan will love me" (they don't?)...okay, ******** them, I will magically find a way to be totally awesome without ever doing a single thing they have ever suggested and then I won't have to apologize for anything I ever did wrong because they will have to admit I was right all along = genius! ...moron.
I bought two packs of 2016 MLS trading cards, produced by Topps. Impulse buy killing time at Target. Whatever. One of the twelve cards I got was the Chicago Fire Soccer Club team card*. Text on the back of the card reads: "A 3-2 home victory over the eventual Supporters' Shield-winning New York Red Bulls highlighted a rebuilding 2015 season for the Chicago Fire Soccer Club. Collin Fernandez made his MLS debut at age 18, while Ghanaian striker David Accam tied for 15th in the league with 10 goals." If 2015 was a rebuilding season, I can't wait to see what the fine people at Topps use to describe 2016. *I also got a Jonathan Campbell rookie card, and a signed Alexi Lalas "admired alumni" card. Whatever. Should have used the $4 on something useful, like candy.
Looks like LA is going to own the soccer conversation worldwide shortly: The journalist from Sky Sports Alessandro Alciato, through its Twitter account, has spoken of the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now close to a turning point: "In the coming hours Ibra will announce his farewell to PSG. Destination more likely: Los Angeles." Nelle prossime ore Ibra annuncerà il suo addio al Psg. Destinazione più probabile: Los Angeles @SkySport #adieu— Alessandro Alciato (@AAlciato) May 12, 2016
I hate Cakes. Cakes = Cancer. I really mean it - my girlfriend is battling it right now. He is the very same type of parasitic, symbiotic growth as cancer.
It's a sample size and control conditions that cannot make any definitive conclusion, but for the last 15 years or so I can't recall a major soccer/futbol event in Chicago I've attended without at least one Chicago Fire scarf/cap/shirt/jersey seen . . . until last night at Soldier Field. Hey, Andell Holdings Fire, how is that soccer conversation ownership going these days?
