HT 0-1 Bulgaria Their goal was a fluke and comical defending. Should have been up 3 before 10 mins but Nani shot a break away over the net and Ronald aimed 3 times dead center of the net and the one time the keeper wan't dead center and the net was WIDE open...he shot it over. Eliseu....No words. Only on the team to appease SLB and Mendes. Nani is horrible. Adrien and Joao Mario are meh, throw in Bernardo Silva to replace one of them or Nani. Rafa is a beast, they should channel all the balls through him since he is the only one that can beat players and make passes. Vieirinha/Pepe/Anthony Lopes (minus the goal) are playing well. Bruno Alves is ok William is a ghost (may be a good thing) and Ronaldo is thinking about Ronaldo.
So so tired of Bruno Alves and Eliseu. Our defense is so fragile. Adrien isn't good enough as well, clumsy. William is still too slow in covering the back 4 as well......its been 2 years and that aspect of his play hasn't improved. Overrated prospect imho. Danilo the gorilla, No need to be PC around these parts mate. Around these parts we are quite aware of racial tactical football, Mourinho was the master of this. Recently unfortunately he was in England so he had to be PC about his tactical novice and was therefore fail.
It would be kinda worth it to lose this game. It could possibly be 65% to 35% possession, 18 corners to 3 and 30 shots to 3, and yet a loss. Truly a very Portuguese thing to do.

Ronaldo is just so retarded mentally for the national team, its like he changes as a player compared to Real Madrid. Some of those opportunities would never be missed in the latter. William improved A LOT in the second half, he played with anger, good. Eliseu and Bruto Alves are so poor..our defense was so fragile to any counter. Adrien was below average, Joao Mario was merely competent, but Rafa really played well. I know F.Santos didn't play a few players to save them for Belguim ( B. Silva, Cedric, Fonte, r. Carvalho, Andre Gomes ), so I'm interested in seeing who he plays... We need a result that match, they're missing Hazard, De Bruyne, Kompany, and Lukaku
Rafa was good, Vieirinha and Quaresma were ok. Alves should not be there. Ronaldo could of had a hatrick. Even if he did not play particularly well we need a Renato type player to drive from the midfield and this would be helped if Danilo plays over William. Disappointed with Mário.

Can't figure out the words to explain my frustration. It was unfortunately just not our day. I always defended Fernando Santos until today. Bruno Alves over Fonte is comical. Substituting 30+ year olds on instead of the young guys trying to show what they have is another ********ing joke. Adrien should never be allowed in the Portugal jersey again. William also has to get his head out of his ass. Eliseu is a joke but the only joke on our team that can cross a damn ball. Ronaldo couldn't score if the ball was placed on the goal line. Anthony Lopes on the goal was horrendous. Joao Mario should practice corner kicks from now until the Euro. Quaresma didn't do shit besides put us in jeopardy of going a man down. Renato didn't have much time but you saw the jitters when he received the ball. Danilo and Danny were out of it as well. Guerreiro and Eder not enough time to comment. Pepe (besides the goal), Rafa, Vieirinha were solid imo.
We always blow a friendly vs a weaker side before a tournament. Better for Portugal to lose these friendlies to give them the routine wake up call they need after qualifying.
It always feels terrible to lose, but it's a friendly so over thinking everything makes no sense. Nani continues to show why he should be excluded, Rafa was good, Vieirinha was good, Pepe was so so, clumsy but also saved a goal. Adrien is as bad as I always thought he was, and Ronaldo had the finishing of a paraplegic today. Losing against Bulgaria but beating Belgium would be the very Portuguese thing to do.
Once I saw the startin g lineup before the match, I knew exactly what was going to happen. That said, I feel like a loss to a poor team like this is what santos needs to get him to stop playing guys like Nani, alves, eliseu, Danny, Adrian,and quaresma. William was dissapointing, and Joao Mario is not worthy a starting spot. Sanchez looked good, Rafa was great, but was the first person subbed off. If Bernardo doesn't start on Tuesday I'm gonna lose my shit.
Let's not forget the first 10 minutes we should have had 1 or 2 goals. Ronaldo misses a penalty once in a blue moon. For whatever reason Portugal wasn't going to win this game and not because Bulgaria was better or played some amazing tactics. this is football sometimes blind luck wins games and costs them as well. I like the PS4 lineup although I would have a lot of people over Nani...If it was 2010/2012 I would have had him starting up there with Ronaldo. Rafa looked World Class with his dribbles and passing. He made a case for starter today. Adrien, Mario and William were big let downs after A LOT of hype by a certain -last letter of the alphabet- member made them out to be Porto 2004 2.0.
