True but even a draw here is huge for us as they're not expected to drop points here. Leicester have squeaked out a few 1-nils so it's not out of reach yet.
just found the Okazaki goal on the webz. fantastic most of the press about LC has been Vardy and Mahrez, and to a lesser extent Kante and Drinkwater I said earlier I thought Okazaki was one of the unsung factors in their success this season - he sure seemed a thorn in Spurs side whenever they played LC
If it was any other season I would be loving LC and their run for league champions. Why did it have to be the same season Spurs are making their run. I just find it annoying how they always find a way of winning.
It's such an odd feeling with Spurs closer to a title than they've been in my lifetime I just can't begrudge Leicester's run. If somehow Tottenham manage to win the league I'll be a little sad we stopped such an amazing story from occurring – and I'm sure we'll be cast as villains by the rest of the league.
they have taken 4 points from us...the difference in the standings and can't say they don't deserve it if they go on and win it. their last 3 games are tough - if we can hang in there until then we just might nip it at the wire, but we have some tough ones the next few weeks as well. can't make this stuff up really - no one would believe it.
Perhaps, but a 38 game campaign says tends to even out the lucky results. Playoffs and cup competitions favor the fortunate, a league champion is rarely crowned unjustly.
No mention of this in the write-ups I read, just breathless buying in to the fairytale. We've had a share of luck in a few games, but everything is going their way, and the football world seems to be giving it a collective huzzah. Well IF Spurs are not going to win it (big if) I would be happy for them to. Just wait for the fans of the traditional powers to start saying how this season has devalued the competition and that this title is somehow less of an achievement than ones they won. Nah, sorry, won't be sad at all. We've waited 55 years.
Sad may be an overstatement, but even considering Spurs’ wonderful season the notion of a relegation bound team coming back and winning the league is storybook stuff.
City had to make 2 changes before half due to injury. cannot see them having the manpower & firepower to get back into the PL title race with their woes at the back four
lol @ this comment re: man city CL match 0 shots on target in the City game and with United averaging 1 shot on target per game should we even bother to watch the Manchester Derby
Klopp gets the dream match up, Liverpool vs dortmund. They will take it seriously but I still expect the Germans to progress. The hype will be unbearable otherwise.
they took 4 points off of us - that is the difference right now...if they beat us to the line they deserve it.
Almost unwatchable such a pathetic display by Everton, even after goalie injured they could not manage to put any pressure on him. Not sure how Martinez keeps his job there.
Leicester has 2 shots on target. How dare they give 1 more then last week. Trying to entertain the masses they are. :\
Spurs sure are not getting any help from other team. Every result went against them so far today. Hope Chelsea can at least tie West Ham yet today.
