I think it is a great idea to have the game on sunday. I can actually go now. If there is a game three it says its gonna be at 4. I hope that change that one to a 1PM start.

Do not remember cancelling support for the team- - never mentioned any conspiracy or any other BS- just thought it was and still do think that to change the PLAYOFF game from a published schedule to another day and time- shows a lack of respect for the fans that follow this team and had made changes and adjustments to travel/work and such so as to be able to be at the stadium to be part of the good after having suffered through all the bad. This is stated by someone who has missed TWO Rev home games in their entire history-both because they changed the scheduled dates and times-however I never had a problem with these because the regualr schedule usually says dates/times are subject to change- the playoff schedule was pretty well set and has been in the past been pretty well followed- if we had lost the game would most likely be played on Saturday per MLS Schedule at the other venue- but we won and now I either have to miss the match or forfeit some big buck tickets to another event that I changed from Staurday to Sunday to accomodate the possibility of our making to this round so as to be able to go support my team- now the game is changed to Sunday not for National Television exposure to benefit the league, but according to another poster a concern of a conflict with Spooky World-whatever the reason- I still think that the only people affected by the change are those of us- who follow this team and had adjusted their schedules with the hopes to be able to support them in person when we got to the semis- not the way to reward your loyal fans- IMHO!!!

We play excellent soccer, make the semi-finals, squash the Fire, find ourselves with some credible young American star players and a disciplined, respectable coach, and we still find something to bitch about.

    God I love the Revolution!!!

when i called about more tix for the semis today, the person i spoke to would not deny that spooky world had anything to do it being moved. in addition, they offered no other explanation and just said "it wasn't their decision". clearly a catch 22 here.....people made plans and may not be able to attend sunday v that extra day of rest for the team.

i asked about a possible game 3 scenario to see if same situation would occur? (i have a wedding to go to). i was told it would probably be another post game 2 decision. how can they possibly not even know this 100% right now!? this is truly ridiculous. i sorta hope it rains cats & dogs for s.w. and that sunday its quite gorgeous for the match.

    Dear Rick:

Yeah, I totally agree about how terrific the team is and how great they are in the semis. But, having planned on the published date on the bloody Rev and MLS sites for three weeks kinda pisses me off that I can't go.

However, if an extra days rest makes it more likely that they win game #1, I'll take one for the team.

    Cue up the VCR.

Did anybody find out the real reason for the change? Jack was confused on the air Wed. night twice about the day...so it was pretty last minute...as if the outcome of your match was the reason for it.

could it be TV? If so...good move. maybe they anticipated Chicago winning and then TV would have to be Sunday at the Crew? That was afternoon. Who knows? TV dictates about everything. Bet that was it. TV was set and we know they have problems changing gears.

There is no way Game 3 (if nec) will be moved because A. Friday is Spooky World an they dont wanna mess with that!! 2. Pats play at home on that Sunday so that is out of the question. C. I dont think the Crew or Revs players would agree to play on Friday with only 1 days rest an that day being most likely the travel day also. an 4. that leaves us with only Saturday at 4 again because of Spooky World they wont play at 7

Of course, scheduling is always a two-way street. I had a prior engagement for Saturday night, but now that the game is on Sunday afternoon, I can go, and so can my 3-year old son.
