Would be nice to have one of Feilhaber, Davis, or Mapp was able to add a lil more creativity... Especially with Laba in the Vancouver midfield.
Sam McDowell: "Seems that Davis, Opara and Sinovic likely to be ready for Saturday. Feilhaber remains day-to-day."
i think i keep dia in there as i reckon he can deal with the speed vancouver has up front better than sinovic. when the other team has speed, seth is always getting torched.
Dwyer Davis Quintilla Zusi Espinoza Mustivar Sinovic Besler Coelho Myers Melia Hoping for some better decision making from Chance Myers this week. Hopefully we can get some set piece mayhem going with Zusi and Davis.
If I'm Vancouver and I think that's the lineup KC is starting I am salivating and immediately make sure Manneh is in my starting 11 going at Sinovic.
There will be a time and a place for him to prove he's regained his form. I don't think the current best wing-attack in the league is particularly ideal. That said, I do hope he returns to his former quality. With his experience and decision-making backed up by a return to exact fitness, he has the tools to take his job back from Dia.
I hope so too, but people need to realize that being out for three months due to concussion is not a minor thing and there is a very good possibility that Seth never fully recovers. The assumption that Seth is his old 2014 self and Dia is #2 in the pecking order is, sad to say, completely unfounded.
Agree with most here ... play Seth against a team like LA with Dos Santos or someone like that on the right wing. Someone good technically but not amazing pace. That's a better fit for Seth IMO. Teams like DC, Toronto, NYCFC, etc. that don't have that type of pace I think Seth can play well against. SKC will have enough games for both of them to play a lot, just be smart about it and play the matchups accordingly.
Some of my thoughts.. Chance Myers and Roger Espinoza looked really really good against Seattle. It early but so far looks like both are returning to there old form. I still want to sea How NuNo plays against good, physical, speedy, offenses. I am still skeptical about his defensive play but he did play well in seattle. I am so glad that PV started Mustivar over Jordi in that D-mid role. However it worries me that that was just a forced change due to the benny injury. This team numerous times has proved it neeeeedsss a hard nosed DM that will sit and break up plays. Jordi and Benny won't fit that. The natural response would be well Uri worked. I think due to the the fact Uri was so good distributing the ball it gets overlooked how good of a defensive job he did. He did have that hard nosed Dm part to him. Okay Connor Hailsey.. This kid was terrible last year. He was honestly on the top of my least liked players last season....however he had a good preseason. From the games I watched he looked, faster, more skilled, and more confident. However...again.. there were times in that seattle game where he picked up the ball out wide and got lost. I wanted him so badly to take on the defender 1v1 like he was in preseason but that didn't happen. Hes a guy that I keep around though. He's on a slow and steady progression and I can see something in him. Davis....Dwyer....Zusi ............Jordi............. roger..........soni Seth-Bes-Nuno_chance I think you have to give Seth a chance to prove hes himself again. If he takes it great and if not we have Dia there instead. But you have to give him that chance. hes earned it.
They have a ton of speed and athleticism up top and Sinovic has shown time and again that he can't handle speed. I'd sit him and play Dia. Purely from an entertainment perspective, it's disappointing about Bolanos. I think he was one of the better MLS signings over the winter and was looking forward to seeing him live. Good thing for SKC. One less skilled player to worry about. Vancouver's back four looked terrible against Montreal. SKC should be able to score a goal or two in this one. One game into the season and SKC is tied in fouls committed. Don't expect that trend to change.
Hope you weren't expecting Feilhaber tomorrow. Benny Feilhaber watching from the side today. As well as Nagamura.— KC Soccer Journal (@KCSoccerJournal) March 11, 2016
Well, a starting midfield of Mustivar, Espinoza, and Quintilla isn't too bad. I'm impatient though on wanting to see Salloi or Rubio make a push for starting winger. I've been spoiled by having two actual attackers out on the field at once.
This is kind of funny. The people who put the pics into the SKC website need to pay attention when they flip a picture and everything on the Vancouver jersey is backwards.
Anyone have any idea what all this business about added security/searches when entering the park is about? I dare say, but seems overly cautious to me.
Anybody know where the season ticket member scarves are being given out this year? We had to print a voucher from the site, unlike prior years, and it says pick up 3-12, but no location. Thanks.
There was an email a while back t0 print the vouchers from your member account, like you would a ticket. I would imagine that still stands, but you never know.
Confirmed - it is still there and you can still print it like you would a ticket. Also, I talked to my rep and he said they will not scan via your phone as they want physical copies to reconcile with the codes scanned at a later date so they can track who redeemed it and who did not.
