No I agree, but he has more outstanding moments than Kagawa and as has been said players with worse players. He is frustrating and wouldn't be my first choice, but overall I think he offers more.
I wish Aki and Zorc would just sign Mats and Miki on long extensions. It might put more pressure on Ilkay to resign as well.
Apparently Miki, Mats and Ilkay have until April to make a decision. Why would it take THAT long unless you actually want to move on? Especially in the case of Heno who has pledged allegiance to the club. Bizarre.
"We should deal with realistic things because a return of Mario won't happen for various reasons, "~Watzke. http://sportbild.bild.de/bundesliga...esst-goetze-rueckkehr-aus-44839922.sport.html
What are you doing cross-posting? I don't share my Bayern speak here. Funny that I get along with the guy everyone loves to hate over there. I don't bring that stuff here. I didn't call YOU a hipster did I?
The various reasons are as follows: - he's learned how to dive - he's learnt how to cheat - he reeks of Allianz Arena shit I just wonder why he's saying mixed things about Götze. He does it on a regular basis.
Smokescreen? TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if he asked to leave. I hope Carlo settles him before he arrives.
What do you mean settles him? You mean the situation or gets him to stay? I doubt he wants him. I mean he's got to fit Coman, Robben, Ribery, Müller, Lewandowski, Costa and likely another couple of players in 4 spots. It ain't happening.
You are likely right, I mean, somehow assuage any restlessness that is surely arising due to his lack playing time. Even a quote indicating that "Goetze" is definitely in my plans for next season.
The problem with Carlo is that he cannot develop young players anymore. They either play as a team and win or sit on the bench. He got what he could out of Lampard but guys like Rodriguez, Isco, Pastore didn't develop one bit. And frankly these guys needed it the most. Carlo should recognize that. ...in fact he probably already has. Even if not for Carlo Bayern would be stupid to extend. The guy makes 12M. No matter how much those arseholes in the Bayern board scream 8M it's a lot more than that. He makes more than Reus to sit on the bench FFS.
In all likelihood, he may be crowded out of the midfield. I don't necessarily think it's fair to him to keep him if he's not going to at least be a rotation/regular sub. (we should probably take this over to other teams)
Fair to him? Are yoy kidding me? He said he wanted to retire here and then almost immediately left for a 2.5 times raise to a team that hadn't played with a no. 10 forever and to a coach who had never played with a no. 10. Let him suffer. But the thing is we need that lil shit just as much if we harbour any hopes of winning multiple trophies next year.
That's a no brainer. Shinji Kagawa. Götze is maleable enough to be turned from a pure counter attacking player to possession. Putting him back into his no. 10 spot gives us the creative spine we need in Mats-Ilkay-Götze that made us deadly across all competitions. Some people are saying that Watzke purposely made that comment because Bayern are asking for too much and he wants Gotze 's agent to put the pressure on making a deal happen instead of forcing BVB to make a giant offer and a large salary. Also apart from BS English media no club has actually made any inquiries about him. Juventus was the most likely but Allegri is not convinced. They play without a no. 10 and need a Marchisio sub/replacement. Even the usual suspects like arsenal, United and Liverpool have other areas they need to focus on. Just because they can pay him more doesn't mean they will. Because they can use it to attract another talent who is fine with playing in the EL.
http://www.transfermarkt.de/bericht...-mit-real-uber-wechsel-einig/view/news/229186 Hahaha... if this comes true then BVB has all the (financial) resources to hold on Mkhi, Gundo, Reus and Hummels and add Auba replacement. I love Auba and it seems he has a fantastic on-field and off-field chemistry with other players but I think he is the most replacable among him, Mkhi, Gundo, Reus (if he is fit) and Hummels. Well, maybe Reus us currently more replacable because of his injuries and consequently not being able to reah his best form.
I read that too. I agree he's the most replaceable. With that money we won't have any problem holding onto our other players, signing our preferred no. 10. Of course we will have to figure out what to do about a striker but I'm sure that would be as relatively minor problem if we have guys like Miki and Reus in the squad.
You guys might have the dough to #BringGoetzeHome http://www.transfermarkt.de/bericht...-mit-real-uber-wechsel-einig/view/news/229186
Pretty sure the assumption is that it's just rumors, given that neither club hasn't announced his departure or arrival.
I find it interesting that quite a few of you seem to think Aubameyang is easily replaceable. Prolific strikers are actually at a premium at the moment, how many are averaging a goal a game in a top league that would be an affordable replacement? The man is unusual in that he has the pace of an Olympic sprinter but still scores a ton of goals. Most speed merchants have very little composure. Also it takes time for any player to settle, and whoever replaced him could easily take a long time to settle or even be another Immobile. If that happened you would be significantly weakened, probably even more so then if Gundogan or Mkhitaryan left. Creative midfielders are a lot more common then prolific strikers on the market at the moment. Don't take having one for granted.
