I don't know if I seen a more infuriating list. How can anybody defend Dunga after this garbage selection.

Marcelo is injured. I read he spoke to Madrid medical staff and they requested to leave him off.

Kaka is an absolutely shocking pick. I don't think he has played a game since October ffs.

Firmino, T. Silva, Allan, Jefferson are glaring omissions IMO.

I figured that was the case on Marcelo. I recall seeing him play a few weeks ago though.

It was at least funny reading the comments on Selecaos Instagram after the pick was made. We can get mad about kaka and Jefferson which is easy but I was actually disturbed by the volantes. At all times dunga plays two volantes and can we even consider renato Augusto a volante ? There is new blood to bring in here like kaka mentioned with Alan and even a Casemiro from Europe but we have a few other volantes who play in Brazil that are at least worth bringing in for a look. Rafael Carioca earned it awhile back , Bruno Henrique is solid and balling for tite and we got 3 young guys who I'd also consider calling. I mean if I was a manager I'd want to see what Someone like dourado, Thiago Maia, and otavio since dunga is handing out spots not on merit. I don't get why when managers gamble with calls its rarely on younger players.

And the Thiago silva omission is getting old. It's been a long wait and I'm pretty optimistic because Willian and Douglas Costa have been taking it to the next level and Lucas Lima might have had his best game ever against mogi last week. I think we will be hurt by not having Elias.

This list is actually exactly what I expected. Same old picks and players (besides Alex Sandro).

I'm thrilled Elias is gone. Is he injured?

I feel for Jefferson but I saw the writing on the wall for him months ago.

Thiago Silva omission is disturbing. Dunga just doesn't care about having one of the best defenders on his side for personal reasons.

At this point, trying out young, new blood is too much to expect from Dunga but I think the team is decent. Costa, Willian, and Neymar are lighting up Europe. Lucas Lima is still doing well at Santos.

I would have taken Firmino over Coutinho though. He has been on fire since the turn of the new year. Seems like he just needed a few months to settle in. Then again, Dunga wouldn't know since he doesn't watch Liverpool.

If we take a minimum of 4 out of 6 points against Uruguay and Paraguay, I'm gonna stop venting towards Dunga and start blaming the conmebol opposition for letting Dunga continue to get away with these baffling decisions.

Agreed. If William Arão can carry his current form into the Brasileirão, he will be another domestic option.

Same feeling about arao from me because like we talked about before ever since he went to botafogo it seems like he gets better EVERY match. I can't picture him fading. I think the posters on this forum who don't watch a lot of brasileirao will like his style too, look at that one flamengo match this year where he came off the bench and completly changed the game with his passing.

This whole concept of bringing ex-players as 1 time assistants is dumb to me. I don't know what purpose does it have

I do agree with you, but maybe if some slip on the banana peel that we lose our 1st ever home WCQ to Uruguay 5-0 and lose to Paraguay 2-0 on the road..does Lucio take over??

There will be the Olympics to try out young blood as long as they are under 23. But yeah, the list is the same old story.

Neymar is playing well but his finishing has been really poor since Messi returned. He needs to be at his best because we don't really have any goal scorers. Coutinho, Costa, Willian, Lucas Lima are good, but none are goal scorers. Remains to be seen if they can work together in a system.

This is really disappointing. Coutinho is a lightweight who pulls ladyboy faces and Kaka is geriatric in footballing terms. No Jefferson! I really think Dunga should go now.
There must be some promising strikers in Brasil, even Kardec will do, just get them in the squad and see how they do. We need a CF to mix it up with the opposition back line and distract them from the wingers and midfielders. Also a younger CF can learn from guys like Oliveira.

It's ridiculous that Jefferson was benched in the first place for his "mistake" against Chile. Now apparently he was left off the squad due to an interview he gave. Dunga takes things way too personal, just like he did during his first stint.

Doria? I haven't given up on him completely, but he is not deserving. How is Douglas Santos rated higher than Jorge? I guess it helps Fla out, so I can't complain. Luciano just returned from injury and he still gets called. Where's Clayton? Did Valencia not let Danilo get called?

I keep forgetting he's only 21. But we're still sitting on a gold mine of talent.
