We get some that come with good reputations. Just not enough of them. I remember a few years ago someone on Big Soccer did an analysis and found that over 60% of South American imports to MLS find success and meet or exceed expectations. And only about 40% of European imports do. Not to mention that the Europeans tend to be more expensive But an even bigger problem for MLS is the domestic player pool. At the NT level the two countries are pretty even, but Mexico lower tier of players is a lot deeper than the US. That's why Liga MX teams look more cohesive. Their starting lineups are more balanced and the drop-off is minimal when they have to use reserves.
This is why MLS sucks in CCL. you take off the main squad players and replace them with USL quality youth. no MLS team has scary super subs that teams need to worry aobut.
El once de @TigresOficial: Nahuel, Jiménez, Juninho, Rivas, Gringo Torres, Pizarro, Dueñas, Aquino, Damm, Zelarayán y Gignac.
All MLS would have to do is stop this stupid Transfer Fees count against the cap nonsense. Teams could spend some money on 300k players and really up the quality of the league, and you really wouldn't even have to raise the cap a lot. If the league is worried about teams spending money they dont have, then set a limit on non capped transfer fees at a few million bucks. The problem wouldn't be solved, but I bet you would see a significant gain in on field quality in a couple of years.
Kovar is the worst player on the field. If Seattle are going to win with Alonso he needs to be paired with someone both able to create and be positionally sound enough to cover for Alonso running around like Scott Parker
I'm not even going to bother watching RSL game. I already know what will happen. Tigres will score once or twice in the first 20 minutes and it'll be a shit show for the rest of the match.
