A fellow Cardiff lad here ... Have patience, as the re-sale portal in March is bound to bring up the Wales v Slovakia and probably the Austria v Hungry tickets up to. Can't imagine many neutrals actually knowing where Wales or Slovakia ARE, let alone want to see them play...
There's a guy on Facebook selling 69 tickets at eye watering prices (e500 per ticket for Eng v Wales for example). Apart from being annoyed at the touting, what I'm bewildered by is how that is possible? How do you obtain 69 tickets? Are people making multiple applications with the same credit card?
I got the single cat 3 England - Russia ticket I applied for, so a day trip to Marseille before the 4 match week in Lyon with my mates. May try and get another game or 2 in the resale faze for that week, but no big deal if I don't.
Not unusual for businesses to have multiple CC cards all linked to one bank account. If you have deep pockets it's sadly easily done
Unlike the world cup, where there was a limit of 7 tickets per person, I don't think there was any limit on the number of games you could apply for. You could apply for 4 tickets to every single game without breaking any rules. I'm not sure if there were any rules saying you couldn't make multiple applications either. This, again, was something FIFA seemed keen to avoid, while UEFA didn't seem to care.
In the first ballot, multiple applications from the same IP address were not successful despite there being availability for those games. I know one person who had 4x applications in category 3 for games on every match day and was not successful with a single game.
Can anyone help? I'm going to have a go at buying tickets through the resale portal, having been unable to apply in the previous ballots as I didn't think I could go. However, my UEFA.com registration won't let me log into the ticketing site - can anyone tell me whether they are two separate accounts (i.e. you need a different log-in for the ticketing site)? There's no obvious registration for the ticketing portal other than the standard UEFA.com link.
