So I take that to mean that you folks aren't hosting a video stream either?

Nope, Sporting posted this morning that there'd be no stream.

Agree, but it's hard to say we don't have three quality CBs without seeing Coelho in action. Besler - Opara - Coelho could very well be an extremely good - albeit questionably sustainable - back three.

After we're done playing them, can we offer them all the garber bucks for Kei? Then we'd have that target man for the 3-5-2.

I was being a bit sarcastic but I wouldn't mind him coming back for the right price. I doubt we'd get him for that right price though.

Yeah, at his last Sporting salary, they'd be idiots not to take him. Given that he probably wants a mill plus, he's not coming here.

That said, we're all hoping they pick up another decent forward option, but Sporting is in one of those damned do/don't situations. They don't spend, people fuss. They do spend, people fuss that they didn't spend on Nemeth. I'm already expecting and prepared for the former. Short of maybe some youthy depth, I doubt SKC is gonna add anything of note this window. Truthfully, add in a youthy forward or just when needed raid SPR, and I think this team is well stocked to front a pretty formidable 4-5-1 flooded midfield. If the wide mids can generate some production and we get even half the production from Feilhaber as last year and, most importantly, Dom continues scoring like he should, this team can do decently well again.

I'm trying to forgo my natural pessimism here. I think the team doesn't suck. Midfield is still a total boss, so I'm expecting Vermes to focus on that.

I think that back three could be very good in a 3-5-2. My point was more about the questionable sustainability of that group (as you mentioned).

If Peter really is having them train this formation a lot, then it could be something that the team uses from time to time to change tactics during a game. Juventus does this very effectively and can change on the fly from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2 just by brining on the third CB.

There are things to be excited about with this roster. There are also things to be disappointed in. This team should be good defensively and capable of holding the ball. If they hold the ball and don't conceded many goals, they won't need to score many either. That approach is a perfect fit for a 4-5-1. Not exactly how I would choose to market an MLS team, but you play to your strengths.

2-2 draw with Columbus, came from a goal down twice. Mustivar and Hajderovic with KC's goals.

Anybody know when they are sending out the season ticket member cards and parking passes? I feel like we are getting a little too close for comfort with snail mail.
