So I was mistaken (sort of). SPR has 13 players signed, but have 7 Academy players signed also. They have 10 trailist. A total of 30 for the pre season. My guess is they take 5/10, save 3 roster spots for thone SKC players that need game time.

Bonilla is on a hot streak. Hope it transfers over to the international stage though.

Nelson Bonilla scored the first of Zira's goals at the 68th min. as they beat FK Neftchi 3 - 0. Zira plyed with one extra man as FK Neftchi had a player sent off at the 43rd min. Good for Nelson, 4 goals in his last 3 games, he is catching fire at the right time, lets hope it continues!!!!

Chicago Fire won all 3 games in a pre-season tournament, and trialist AA (no. 12) played in all of them.

*AA started and played 79 minutes in a 3-2 win against Vancouver Whitecaps.
*In Chicago's 4-0 win against Minnesota United, AA came on at the 60th minute and scored the 4th goal in a penalty.
*AA started and played 72 minutes in a 2-0 win against Portland Timbers. He scored the first, and assisted the second.

I'm going to be disappointed if AA doesn't officially sign with Chicago Fire.

In other news, Ceren scored in a 6-1 friendly against Brazilian Serie B club Bahia:

USL club Swope Park Rangers played in the Desert Diamond Cup. Granitto played all 4 matches as a trialist.

*Played the entire second half in a 3-1 win over Colorado Rapids
*Played the entire second half in a 0-0 draw against Arizona United SC
*Started and played 67 minutes in a 2-2 draw against Columbus Crew. Scored the first goal after a few attempts
*Came on at the 46th minute in a 1-0 win over FC Tucson. Apparently had a close attempt to score

Not only does AA have a chance to play for Chicago Fire, but Granitto has a chance to play for SPR. Fingers crossed!

To add on to that, Granitto played in all 4 games for the Swope Park Rangers (they still have a month before their season starts.)
Their first game (ever), the Swopes best the Rapids 3-1. Granitto played the entire second half.
The second game, they played AZ United. 0-0 draw, Granitto played the entire 2nd.
The 3rd game, they played Columbus Crew SC. Granitto scored the 1-1 (Ht result) also shooting a couple of times. He played 67' as the game ended 2-2
The final game, they played FCTUCSON. They won 1-0, Granitto played the entire second half.
I don't know if the Swopes have more preseason games. Hopefully he signs with them.
I ain't gonna lie, I typed this out yesterday. But since I'm on my phone, I accidently deleted the whole thing. Got too lazy to write it out again! XD
My hopes are these 2 transactions go through. I'd prefer he play in an affiliate team, so he has a chance at playing for SKC itself (even if it's a really small one)

Oh hey lol, that's cool I guess xD looks dumb but whatever haha.
Anyways, well find out soon enough if they sign. The list of abroad players for us is extremely sad.

Since the transfer window in ES is closed, Purdy and Baumgartner both should try to get with an American club as well. At this point I don't care if they go to NASL.

The list of abroad players is weak, but our players have no one to blame but themselves. They had a chance to prove themselves at the Gold Cup last year, but no one deserved to go abroad.

The best game they played was against the Ticos in that GC and they couldn't put it away for crap.

They also had plenty of chances to defeat Canada and Jamaica but couldn't score to save their lives. Our best player AA couldn't score, no matter how many times he tried.

That was bad on specific players tbf. Menjivar had a god tournament but stays in NASL. Rugamas wasn't taken (something could've been done) and the others just dont make good choices. Dustin to Edmonton, Ruso to Cosmos.

AA has signed with chicago btw. Deal to be announced in about 48 hours

Most Chicago fans seem to think that he won't be a regular starter.
