6 things we know so far

William Reyes continues to show why he should be consider one the greatest player to lay in the league, he is the current leading goalscorer with 4 which is more than six team in the league. he is now on 278 goals he really wants that 300 goals.

Santa tecla are struggling to score, unlike UES and FAS they are actually playing good football but cannot convert their chances.

UES and Atletico Marte are really making it harder for themselves especially with firpo and sonsonate slowly gaining buffer from them.

Pasaquina are being well run and might end up doing a juventud before they collasped with good buys of young players and smart signings of foreign players meaning they might be a small club hitting above their weight.

FAS have recruited extremely poorly escepially in the foreign players department with both argentinians looking out of place and not up to the standard of primera division (who knew players from argentina fourth division would not succeed).

Chalatenango continue to suprise especially their pressing against alianza which showes they might be a force this season, also ismael valladres is a very good young keeper.

I like how Ramon Sanchez is doing what he's always done and given the younger players opportunities, and also calling out the foreign players on how they should be performing better. I would hope they go the route Aguila did a few seasons back and use nothing but Salvadoran players and keep those international slots empty.

Don't forget Pichi as well. I love that Santa Tecla not only consists of young players, but Pichi has also brought in Salvadoran diaspora like Mayen, Carillo and Palafox. He was also looking to bring in young goalkeepers Tapia and Morales.

I'm still holding out hope that Reyes can get one more call up to the NT. He is goal-scoring machine, despite being at the age of 39.

Another 6 things we found out

    1) keep an eye out for Marvin Ramos the number 7 from Firpo he been is sensational form escepially considering he was playing second division football just 3 months ago.

    2) Sonsonate huge crowds may be a curse as sonsonate cannot win at home, with thwir second consecutuve loss against a less then impressive FAS outfit.

    3) Metapan-Aguila highlighted what happens when you make the wrong substitution or tactic and the opponent makes the right change of tactic. Zarco had set his formation perfectly they completely dominated aguila until they took of david lopez which caused them to lose speed on the wing, while aguila played more fast short passing and counter attacking, which meant they stole a point in a game they shouldn't have.

    4) Atletico Marte cannot get a break, after dominating and winning for the majority of the game. they gave away a penalty at the end. fortunately UES cannot score to save their life.

    5) Bladimir Diaz should defintley get a call up to the national team, he has the poise and skills to help el salvador especially in the short term.

    6) Willis Plaza must be in the running for best foreign of the year, he has shown his skill and talents, plus he is in good shape unlike the fas foreign players.

Is there a reason as to why UES plays at the Magico Stadium? I thought the Heroes y Martires Stadium would complete renovations by April 2015, according to this article from December 2014. It's an eyesore to see UES playing in a large stadium that is practically empty.

incompetencey by the board and construction, people they had laid down the wrong grass and had to rip it up and start again. they said they will be able to play in their stadium midway through the season.

Another Six things we found out

Jesus this week refereeing was awful, A definite penalty not being given to pasaquina (it ciuld have changed that whole game, they might have taken the lead and chalatenango might have gone in their shell), no red cards to atletico marte players even though both challenge were horrible and henry romero not being sent off after injuring zelata with a bad tackle.

Sonsonate look like their large number gives them performance anxieties as they continue to play outstanding away from home. I womder has a team qualified to the finals on just away points.

If you are wondering, why atletico marte had more atmosphere and looked different. its because they moved the game to achuapam (who offered them money to play at the stadium). This just confirm Marte need to construct and build a smaller stadium to play in.

Metapan are struggling they were very lethargic especially in defense, all three goals came from the santa tecla players being more hungrier and the metapan assuming someone else will do it. plus side Jose Pena been doing wonders up front, really taking the pressure off rugamas who is often heavily marked.

Alexander Larin should be playing abroad he was a class above everyone throughout the game, his inclusion made FAS defense that much surer and stronger.

Dragon continue to defy the odds, it looked like Firpo had done enough but once again their foreign players have stood up and stole a very valuable point and stunned to heavily packed stadium.

    6 things we learned

    * Sonsonate finally got over their anxiety issues over over playing at home, they won their first game at home and over the quality firpo side too.
    * Marte are now the worst team in the division after losing to UES, both side showed they scrappiness and poor touches that got them at the bottom of the table. But UES foreign players realy stood up and helped them grind a victory.
    * We found footballing directors have so many lessons to learn about pr and other stuff, Two examples: Atletico Marte fired their coach (which was expected no wis and losing to ues was unacceptable, but the manner they did it was unacceptable firing live on tv while he was doing a post game interview). The second example was Alianza lack of communication between the president of Alianza Lisandro Pohl and Alianza coach Rubrn Alonso. This came about due to Alonso sudden resignation following his side 2-1 loss to santa tecla, he cited the reason was due to lack of faith by the president, However the president later said this was a shock to him and had that Alonso his full backing and support, this means their communication has broken down, which can be a major problem especially if you are big club like Alianza. Fortunately Alonso retracted his resignation due to fans support and the backing of the club directors.
    * Metapan have got themselves a reprieve thanks to winning against a very poor FAS, they were staring down their worst start since 2002. But now it can be a springboard to another finals campaign.
    * Aguila are looking very nice, the addition of Hector Ramos could be a masterstroke as he is a known goalscorer espceially in tight game, his debut game and goal helped aguila earn 3 points against a vey organised Pasaquina.
    * Lastly goalkeeping standards and training needs to improve in El Salvador, The mexican Joel Almeida for santa Tecla has shown how bad our training has been in el salvador, Honestly he is the top 3 keeper in El Salvador, defintley better than our currently number one keeper in el salvador Henry Hernandez

Wasn't that the same story with Pohl last season it's been quite the blame game and he isn't the first coach to say that.
