Or, one the flip side, link me to all the other forwards scoring goals in the EPL. Much as you want to deny it, we have a large sample of players with a decent sample of games. Even by historical scoring rates, Jozy is among the top. I would love to have a better scorer, or three, than Jozy, but wishing will not turn Wondo in Rooney. Or Kenny Cooper into Ruud or Alan Gordon in Henry.
It says we might actually be in transition, which would be better than in decline. "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?" "Score well at Union."
Do fans even care anymore? Id figure they get even more upset with players who protest their love for their club (its 1 thing if youre a homegrown player or at Barca). If youre playing for a club in the 3rd division or facing relegation, id reckon fans might not believe you.
I would say perhaps that moment was more symptom than virus. If you think you're too big for your britches you better so big they have to keep you - even without britches. Hopefully Wood is now showing that he was not too big for his britches, merely too big for Bavaria. The Kicker headline for the game, btw, is "Ex-Lion Wood seals first 1860 defeat at Berlin." Also mentions he should have gotten another.
Depends on the player. You can usually tell if a player identifies with the club - if it comes of as honest, nobody has a problem with it. Last season, we had six players with 150+ league games for the club in the squad, only one of those was homegrown. I wouldn't doubt any of those players if they told me they love the club, even if they transfer somewhere else for whatever reason. If a player does this after being at the club for a month or, I would be much more sceptical, of course.
I thought so too at first watching but when I went full screen on a big monitor it looks like the ball took and unexpected bounce and Bobby actually did a really good job of using his first touch to corral the ball and get it moving in the right general direction
He's got a "Schulterprobleme" http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...sport-leipzig-15778_1-fc-union-berlin-62.html
Bobby is back in the starting 11 today. Kickoff in 15 minutes. Here's to Wood not skipping a beat and bagging a Friday goal to get the Yanks Abroad weekend started off right!!
Not that I can find without crushing my computer. I'll keep refreshing Soccerway though to keep tabs on the score.
Scores with the help of a massive deflection! Picks up a yellow card thereafter and will be suspended for the next match.
but does it count for him? Often times I am confused when it comes to deflections vs own goals. Like if it's on course to go in the goal but happens to touch another player would it still be given as yours?
Union down to 10 men when he scored too. Deflection or not, when strikers are in good form they seem to find goals in all ways.
