F**king finally! Montreal, at last, going with the vertical stripes is much needed eye-bleach after the Columbus atrocity. New England is pretty damn slick, as well. NYRB is a welcome diversion from the norm but it's "meh".
So far all but one of the new kits have been really good. TFC's outgoing away was boss, hope we keep Onyx and just mix in some white. Vertical grey/white stripes like in the crest is something I always wanted to see in an away for TFC.
Not exactly pretty. But they almost never wear it...and someone has to rock yellow now that Columbus is playing uni-MadLibs.
So, if Columbus' marketing department had these to work with...they'd add lime green shorts and argyle orange and yellow socks.
That's the major perk of it. Honestly, if those stripes were the same color as the shirt, and if that fake collar wasn't there, it wouldn't be awful. Then again, I'm color blind, so I'm not the expert on this front.
Montreal goes with the Inter look, but mixed in with a ACM pinstripe. This kit is the ultimate Milano fashion statement! If we're lucky, maybe the next Impact kit will have bleeding stripes lol Also, like the new Revs kit - looks PSG inspired. As for Columbus - this is a perfect example that you can't always model a kit after your city's flag (looking at you, @InterMiamiFC). You can't force colors together otherwise you get tragic results like the Crew new secondary or MLS 96 kits. Precourt should've stuck with what worked last season.
Too bad that gorgeous jersey is utterly ruined by that shitty crest. Crest aside, that is the best looking kit top to bottom in MLS.
Disagree completely. The center stripe looks atrocious with the arrow-like cuts and the straight sponsor logo, and the color balance is just off IMO. Good idea ruined by bad execution, atleast in my mind.
I feel bad for you, Columbus. You have suffered enough, having that ridiculous logo and motto ("America's Hardest Working Team") all those years, being in Columbus. It was an unbelievable step in the right direction. Just when it looked like you were turning the corner with the great new logo, this happens. At least you don't have Andrew Hauptman as your owner. You can still hold that (and our subsequent 8 years of suck) over the heads of us in Chicago.
I'm so conflicted by this gif. Do I like it because of the Seahawks? But can I really like something from Coug Center?
This is fantastic. #MeanTweets: #ForColumbus kit edition. #CrewSChttps://t.co/zk8yMSocu2— The Crew (@ColumbusCrew) February 13, 2016
I really love that the Impact will have the vertical stripes. In general, looks great, but I don't like the pinstripes. They should have either been black or not been there at all. They look odd and detract from an otherwise fantastic jersey.
I like the idea from one of the tweets that if you lose the MLS Cup final, you can't have a nice kit the next year.
