Formation listed as 4-4-2. CHICAGO FIRE: Patrick McLain; Joey Calistri, Jonathan Campbell, Vincent Keller, Michael Harrington; Arturo Alvarez, Razvan Cocis, Harry Shipp, John Goossens; David Accam, Kennedy Igboananike Accam flew by the DOOP center back and slotted home to give the Fire the lead again in the 41st minute. They've held on to this one a bit longer. Closing in on halftime.
It was a good goal though. Nice job getting that around the keeper. But we're not really out playing them. We're more outlasting them. They seem to be trying to utilize counterattacking a whole lot more in this game.
Seven #cf97 changes for the second half as Johnson, Vincent, Polster, Stephens, LaBrocca, Gilberto and Fernandez enter....— Chicago Fire FC (@ChicagoFire) February 11, 2016 And McLain, Calistri, Shipp, Cocis, Alvarez, Goossens and Igboananike depart. #PHIvCHI #cf97— Chicago Fire FC (@ChicagoFire) February 11, 2016 Gilberto clearly playing alone up top, at least while defending. So I'd Assume this is a 4-2-3-1
Goal by La Brocca. Gilberto gets into the box, drops it back to Accam as he crashes into the box. He takes it first time, saved, but straight to La Brocca to head it in.
Accam shot saved and La Brocca follows with a header from the center of the box. I didn't see who played the ball down the left for Gilberto to run on to, but Gilberto with a nice run and cross to Accam.
Philly D f***s up and let's Gilberto get his goal back. We're looking like we're dominating in the Second.
More sparkling play from the Fire. Fernandez releases Keller on the right who crosses to Gilberto but the shot just misses right. Damn, the hits keep coming - Gilberto makes the Union pay after a turnover in their own third. 4-1 now.
Nice work by Harrington & Fernandez to dispossess Restrepo in the right corner. Fernandez took a knock from Restrepo, but soldiers on. Spoke too soon, Fernandez down in the center of the field will have to be subbed out. Doesn't look serious walking off. Keller, Campbell also off, - Meira, Conner & ??? in.
Hard earned goal for Philly, but not enough. Fire defense didn't really have much of a choice in that.
