I really hope he does well. Not being sarcastic. But yeah ... it's still Miami and we know the flesh is weak.

Alex Texiera off to China after a 50mil bid. Mind you Shakhtar refused to sell him to Liverpool( after he did multiple interviews saying he wanted to go there) for 30me. I thought he had ambition to go to a top league but I guess anything is better than Ukraine at this point for him.

The wages these Chinese clubs are throwing at these Brazilians are hard to refuse but he's a idiot since he claimed he has NT ambitions.

I'm almost 90% sure Dunga will not. He played in Ukraine for years and never got a sniff and now we went even lower.

Again the chineses have brake the table and buy Alex for $ 50 mi euros. They tried to buy Oscar for $ 80 mi euros but Chelsea (and i believe Oscar) refused.
I starting seaching for this new awesome revolution in football and read that the chinese presidente made football an obligation in all school there. And, yes, they want to become a power in football. And they are doing this faster then nobody in the world. Last year the tv rights for football there was mere 60 millions yuan. Now is 1.25 billion of dollars. Fantastic...

Shakhtar has a high release clause for its players. Bayern fans were in uproar when they brought Costa for 30 and that turned out to be a bargain.

The Chinese outbid the only competition they had -- Liverpool. Simple. Shakhtar rejected Liverpool's offer, so it's not like Teixeira had any choice. And there's no way he's going to say no to those wages to stay in Ukraine. He might turn out to be like Willian, who went to Russia for higher wages when he wanted to go to England, but no one could match the Russian's transfer fee offer. The only difference is that Willian still moved to England when he was 24 and Teixeira is already 26.

Alex Teixeira did have a choice, if he didn't want to go, he would have said no after Shakhtar accepted the offer. He accepted because he knows he won't have another chance like that and in a short career like football's,, better not waste chances.

Of course he had a choice - he could have waited until there was one year left on his deal and signed a pre-contract. But, he wanted the $$$$. His choice.

I see some people are still naive enough to think players especially South American players have choices in these transfer situations, it's cute but just far from how this business really works. In most cases the public condemns the player than the facts come out a month or two later about how it really happened. Vitinho , Bernardo , are two recent situations where the details pretty much make mengaos point. Also shaktar's owner isn't really a guy you "negotiate" with.
