I like the look of the leaked kit. Hopefully the gold is more "gold" than the over saturated yellow in the picture. The snake along the bottom is a nice touch.
i like it. but as i said before thats just a 2016 adidas stock condivo kit with a yellow/ gold strip down the center. still with they could color coordinate the bimbo logo, but i have no room to complain. slightly reminds me of the original home kit which is still by far my favorite
yeah, I'm thinking either this or 2010 is the best primary they've had.... for comparison: 2010: 2011: (Bimbo) 2012: 2014: 2016: Man, 2012 was brutal.
i think its interesting how after the 2012 kit we stopped using any of the light blue piping and accents. That being said i hated the 2012 kit. 2010 without the sponsor will still be the only jersey i will own
That's not bad. The collar cutting into the stripe bears an unfortunate resemblance to a fake tuxedo t-shirt, but I'm OK with it,
Hmm. My dreams of the crest not being in the middle dashed again, but that's small fries. It's...fine! @Boyertown2003 was right when he said it was kind of dull, but dull is better than tacky. It looks like theres some sort of texture/accent on the stripe, but we'll have to wait to see the real thing. Can't wait to see it in action.
It looks like it's supposed to resemble snake skin to me. They're trying to incorporate the snake into a few more things this year it seems: 692776908237488128 is not a valid tweet id (plus the snake jock tag) Personally I didn't like it at first but it's growing on me. I kinda wish the stripe was thicker so Bimbo fit inside the stripe, and the crest was off-center
Nope, I like it too. Besides, I don't think it is ever going to go away. I think it is part of their whole"Branding". ...and who doesn't like tuxedo t-shirts?
Gradation! Can't wait until they make the edges of the stripe gradated as well. The pattern will go well with my snakeskin boots. It's better than the quilted stars on the white secondary.
I like it as well.... but I think the center is too busy. I would prefer a setup where the crest is centered but higher and the Adidas logo is to the side in the blue field. This would help make the center stripe look less cluttered and break up the blue a bit. Without having the pinstripes or other elements on the sides, there's easily room to fit the Adidas logo on the blue. Since the team crest has more blue than anything, it would stand out more on the gold background, which is another point in favor of keeping it there IMHO. That said, I love the look. I'd have to see it in action, but quite possibly my favorite of all the jerseys to date. I much prefer less stuff on a jersey. Love the snake.
Agreed. The snake plays a prominent part in our logo yet hasn't ever been incorporated into anything. We need to see it more! I also like the color. Honestly, I don't really like the khaki color. It's a dull color which isn't bad but navy blue is also a dull color. It looks better when the colors contrast more. EDIT: I also like that it's very simple. Other jerseys coming out are a bit more complex but the side adidas piping on the simpler ones look better because it doesn't disrupt a pattern.
Is there anyone good with photoshop that can humor us and put the crest on the left chest and the adidas logo on the right, and then fill in the missing gaps of the center stripe?
So, what you are saying is that the Union was able to find exactly the wrong width for the stripe. That is so Union.
3 different shades of gold in this pic.. it doesn't look THAT bad, but it still drives me a little crazy... especially because I know the name and number on the back is going to be closer to the yellow on the MLS patch than the gold in the stripes/center bar.
Really going all in with that toy snake, aren't we? Also, I second the motion to press upon those with greater photoshop skills than I.
