Well finally some good news. I was starting to think with our lack of depth we'd be bringing him back. He's not the kind of player we need to get better.
So...during my workday I'm often unable to do much webbrowsing. So I come by BS to check the Rapids forum each night, wondering if there's finally going to be a new thread about a new signing. Nope. But there was that one time I logged on and found out Irwin was traded.
The most amazing thing about this dumpster fire is that they apparently didn't learn anything from last offseasons dumpster fire. It's perpetual like a tire fire.
The level of fail has become so predictable that it's fascinating. It's like one of those slasher flicks where the entire audience is screaming at the girl: "Don't open the door!" But everyone knows that she's going to open the door and die.
Like the last twenty years................................................................................. R
I have to wonder how this might impact our ability to sign a Pulido or Vella http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/sto...-soccer-giovani-dos-santos-carlos-vela-012716
Boy, for having money in hand and talk about putting our whole team together at the beginning of camp we've sure been quiet this week on the player acquisition front...
just wait roughly 3/4 of a year and the mariachi-merry-go-round that is the Mexican Nat team managers position will have a new name and a new opinion on MLS.
I only log on to see if there's a thread confirming any or all of Bravo, Hinchey and Pablo have been fired. I don't want to give my hits to the Rapids website.
So, has anyone on this forum been out to one of the training sessions? I'm curious who the new faces are. Obviously we assume the draft picks are there, the new off-season acquisitions (Pappa, Azira) and a few trialists (Ownby, Keel, maybe some Charlotte Independence players). Anyone else showing up? Let's hope a big signing or two happens before the start of the season, but it's looking more and more doubtful. I'm hoping a few guys like Sjoberg, Badji, Serna, Solignac are stepping up their games and can be impact players this season, especially if no "big name" players are added.
Another fluff piece on mlssoccer.com, this time on Spencer. Love this nugget from the article: There you are folks, it's NOT Mastroeni's fault! Glad we cleared that up! http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/...-john-spencer-hopes-bring-offensive-expertise
Even better news guys. It may be another player gone to Dc United from Colorado. Only thing I'll say. Smh great job Rapids.
I'll congratulate LaBrocca for his escape. Well done and good luck. You always played hard even with the now well known lack of support from RFO the team suffers from.
Do we even have another player to give away? Also, random unrelated question: I know the Rapids have bigger problems than this, but aren't we due for a new home jersey?
Well, it could be worse. You could also be a Rockies fan. They are another bad team having an equally useless offseason.
If we go back to full Burgundy I'll count that as the first piece of good news of the offseason. I never liked the white sleeves. ("But our connection to Arsenal!" )
