I couldn't find anything online but am curious to know if Sutter Health is affiliated with Stanford Hospital?
It looks much better on the white because the font is bigger and Sutter is over health instead of on the same line. The blue kit looks like a rec uniform.
I think this is a very nice touch. As someone who has a number of Clash jerseys, I really like the nod to the team's history.
Are you the guy who wrote into the Mercury News Fans speak out section in and around October/November 1999 to Leave Our Clash (name & logo) alone? Just curious......
Definitely not me, I like the Quakes name better! I just appreciate the inclusion of the logo since it honors those years of the Quakes past, to which I feel a connection. Hard to believe in just a few months we will be celebrating 20 years to the day of that DC/SJ game. I feel old...
I'm getting there too! I was the first one to arrive at that game. Saw the SJSU football spring practice in the back lot in the morning.

Wait, falvo, you were the first fan to see the very first MLS game? That makes you the very first official game-attending MLS fan! We have a celebrity in our midst folks!
Underdog's arch-nemesis was Dr. Simon Bar Sinister: here's what wikipedia says about his name: "Bar Sinister" is a macaronic reference to a heraldic mark, called barre sinister in French and bend sinister in English. The bend sinister is a line from the top right to the bottom left, and its diminutive form, correctly called a baton sinister, denotes illegitimacy. Despite its heraldic inaccuracy, the term bar sinister has been used in literary contexts to denote bastardy since the early 19th century. The name "Simon" is of Hebrew origin, and the word "bar" in Hebrew typically denoted a patronymic surname (see, for example, Simon bar Jonah, the birth name of Saint Peter). Thus, Simon bar Sinister's name is a doubly macaronic play on words. the things you can learn on the innernets.....DOUBLE MACARONI!??! my 5-year-old self had no idea!
Yes! I parked off 7th Street so I didn't have to pay for parking! LOL I even worked the game in the back of the Stadium and got in free!
