Spot on. Sports leagues in Asia are all about gambling and being controlled by gamblers.

If he can put in 5-10 goals between now and the end of the season, that could help Chelsea get up to 5-6th place, which is basically all they have this season (unless, by some miracle, they do something in the champ's league).

MLS needs to get it's head out and start signing good players in their prime rather than imitating the old NASL disaster. Nobody takes them seriously, a retirement home for washed up players as it stands. I can't bring myself to watch an MLS match to be honest.

5-10 goals in perhaps 15 matches most as a sub ? Chelsea have too many teams to get above. Even their most ardent fans I know think seventh is a big maybe.

They are about nicking Pochettino now...good.

Pochettino sounds very prudent and very un-Chelsea-like.

Was all over Talk Sport today. If they want to change direction that would be a good choice. If they F up Spurs along the way even better.

Yeah it would be a smart move. I think he'd be much proficient at a rebuild, unlike the Manure rebuild.

John Stones not living up to that English hype. Just let City score two goals in ten minutes

Looks like de Bruyne just trashed his knee from awkwardly falling, due to complete embellishment...

It looks bad for him but like you said he clearly flopped to the ground so can't say I feel sorry for him

At the moment, MLS "getting its head out," would mean spending a shitload of money on players who would probably contribute much less commercially. It takes time to develop sustainably.

There really are only a handful of retiring stars in the league anyways.

The Chavs have to play United, Citeh, Spuds, and Leicester in the league. I hope they will take points off of all of these teams.

If the league was respected they would be in the market for the same players that the likes of Swansea or Newcastle are. Good, mid twenties going into their prime players that cost 4-12 million. Someone like Jenkinson as an example, but they would laugh at an approach. Instead they are falling into the old NASL big name trap and get guys like Stevie Me who suck (and had sucked).

The fact remains they keeping paying these over the hill players to come over and are looked on as a joke in the rest of the world. Seems to me there are far more than a handful of old rejects on the backend of their careers in MLS. Some may look good at that level but would be run off the pitch in a major league now.

So they'll be without De Bruyne for what looks like a couple of months. Vertongen's out for a few months too. And Kompany had another set back, right? I hate to be the guy to wish injuries on opponents but this is somewhat good news for us. I'll take all the luck we can muster right now!

Not as good or as bad as some people would have you believe. It's mediocre on the field, but a lot more fun in person. What's wrong with it being on par with Norway or Denmark?

Here's hoping de Bruyne has a 4 or 5 month sabbatical.

In all fairness, we're the only club that doesn't sack anyone
