I really hope this means they are pushing up jersey week finally.

I don't know. I like having jersey week be right at the start of the season. That means it's go time and not dragging on for a month wishing there was a game.

Eh, I wear LA's black and gold all the time. The breathability (is that a word?) of the jersey makes it so it isn't that bad in the heat.

A team has worn all black as their primary since the beginning of the league. Several others have had black uniforms as well.

I would take that as a knock, but the 4 stars above my crest make me smile.

If like to see the Earthquakes get a new home kit. Aren't they due? The current one would be on its 3rd season.

Yes, I believe so, however, the jersey should look different regardless. Rumor has it the Quakes will have a shirt sponsor.

I wouldn't, though they likely will.

After having pretty embarrassing primary uniforms from 2008 to 2013 :(, the San Jose Earthquakes thankfully reached the opposite end of the spectrum and completely hit it out of the park with the 2014-2015 blue jersey / black shorts / blue socks primary uniform , the unfortunate lack of a jersey sponsor notwithstanding.

Considering that Adidas MLS uniform design templates (but usually not the jersey/shorts/socks color order) generally change every two years or so, the Earthquakes will likely have a new primary uniform for 2016-2017, though hopefully the color order will remain blue jersey / black shorts / blue socks and that the new primary uniform will keep other aspects of the current one like the shifting tectonic plates pattern, the EST. 1974 just below the neckline on the back, etc.

Rumor has it that it'll be revealed on or very near Wednesday, January 27th.

Odds of another pyramid scheme sponsor in MLS?

Rumor has it that it'll likely be a health/medical provider, similar to the New England Revolution's jersey sponsor.

Hope RSL keeps it simple. wouldn't mind if they did something like spain's jersey. Maybe bring back cobalt shorts and socks with gold trim.

NYC should be getting a new Away Kit this year.

I'd like them to bring back the one blue sleeve... looks like a gauntlet, kind of regal.

This is simultaneously a fantastically hilarious post and a fantastically embarrassing post for those of us who love/follow the league.

    That's all kinds of awesome.
I'd love to see someone do a Mary Kay sponsor with a Pink secondary kit to go with.

This is a good look and very unique. They should have adopted it as a standard template.

Laurent Ciman of the Montreal Impact seen wearing black shorts at MLS Media Day, could the Impact be bringing back the Black/Blue striped kits this year as a primary?

    could be just training shorts.

They were absolute fools to get rid of that jersey and not make it their home kit. By far one of the best in MLS and unique as well.

You usually don't have numbers on training shorts, however, and I'd be surprised to see a player go to NY just to be shot in a practice uniform...

Fun little tid-bit I learned the other day. There isn't going to be a jersey week this year. Teams are on their own to unveil the new kits whenever they want.
