Messi voted for Suarez over Neymar, then Iniesta. Neymar voted for Messi, Suarez, Rakitic Peru captain voted for Neuer, Muller, Kroos Ronaldo voted for Benzema, James, Bale
What did Neuer do to warrant 7th, prime case as a high finish from previus year lead to him getting a bunch of votes this year, Toure at 12, really? he was getting critisized last season for a lot of being lazy and not trying. Good to see Sanchez make top ten but he should be hiogher in my view.
Other than the football powerhouses of Malaysia, Cambodia, Grenada and San Marino all Toure's votes came from Africa. The voting is so biased, esepcially from players, Messi and Neymar voting only Barca players, Ronaldo only Real players, Ashley Williams voting Bale first.... the managers is slightly better but still not great, Loew going for only German's for example. Interesting to see what the voting would look like if just the Media used, same winner obviously but maybe a more realistic order, Toure finishing much lower, Sanchez probably higher as over half of his votes were from the media for example.
Because people are not voting who they think are the best but instead it is politcal. The same would be true if every European voter Ronaldo for example, he would win due to num,ber of voters in Europe and it would not be deserved, i.e the award lacks any credibility whatsoever.
I think it is an online vote, like the old FIFpro award, again, biggest clubs with biggest fan base will get their players in, a complete waste of time.
