There are people here tonight. They have real life traffic control, and the sections behind the goal have quite a few people in them.

Bofo is the story of this game.

    Who is Bofo?

His name is Adolfo Bautista. He was just signed by the Mustangs. He is tall, muscular and has the belly of Eric Puls.

Runs like him, too. But the PA guy loves him, and the Mustangs keep force feeding him in the center of the box. He did score a cheapy that he mishit.

    You can't miss him...He wears #100.

Chicago beats the wave 8-3. Biggest crowd of the season.

Crazy crowd in Hoffmann Estates last night. This section right behind the penalty box was filled with one supporters group that stood and pounded about 8 drums all night.

For the amount of times I've been at the Sears Centre with 500 people, this was an outstanding atmosphere. I don't know if this was specially publicized (I would have to think so) but I hope they can do this much more often.

    It's Bofo!

Bofo did a lot of standing in the area, hanging out waiting for the centering pass.

Although in fairness, on his second goal he gathered a loose ball in front of the penalty boxes, waddled 50 feet, then pounded it home past Matt Eisold.

Chicago had more people at that game than the previous 5 games I've attended there combined. To be fair Bofo was a member of the Mexican mens national team from 2002-2010 and scored 11 goals in 38 appearances so it's probably a pretty big deal to their fan base. As a Wave fan I am happy to see him on the team because he completely slowed down a very fast paced Chicago counter and his first touch was serviceable at best. He's too slow to beat anyone off a turn as well. He reminds me of when the Bucks thought it was a great idea to sign Anothony Mason and it just brought their offense to a screeching halt.

    Great comparison.

Watch his first goal that he scored (the Mustangs posted it on their FB page). He completely botched the pass from Wilo, and Eisold was all over the place as he waited for the shot (which dribbled off the bottom of his foot).

Bond, Taylor Bond is much more of a threat for the Mustangs, and he could give the Wave fits for years.

Wasn't it just last season people on these same very forums were mocking me with respect to Chicago ethnic league players in the MASL?

Where are all those experts now?

Bond, Gurson, Sliwa....just a few of the names starring in the MASL this year from the Chicago church basement rec leagues.

He's also playing for one of the worst teams in the league, no?
