10' 0-0 Horan steals from 2 at circle top right, rolls a through-ball toward box top right post for Morgan cutting behind -- her defender pokes it away at arc tangent right, Morgan stutter-steps and shoots, GK way out and saves. Ball bounces out to Heath at 22m arc left, she tries to chip over everybody -- GK heads it down and wide at the spot, picks it up.

Lauryn Hutchinson looks to be out T&T at 10 players.

15' 0-0 USA fast cross from 6m box left to spot -- two USA players wide-open there, but they pancake each other

16' 0-0 Heath down, comes away with (own) blood smeared on palm -- makes an "ewww" face. Huge turf abrasion, about the size of 3-4 quarters, on right shin high ... bubbling blood like a piece of cranberry pie. She tries to hide it by pulling her sock up, takes a right ck ... AR sends her off.

18' 0-0 USA long serve to 11m right post, Morgan chases hard while watching backward over right shoulder -- never sees GK Forbes charging out to punch. Morgan perfectly times a karate jump-kick to volley -- but stamps Forbes in the sternum so hard that the collision spins Morgan down in a semi-copter. Forbes rolls in agony -- not kidding, way worse than Ronaldo-into-Barthez back in the WC'98 final.

21' 0-0 Forbes gingerly walking it off, convincing trainer to let her stay in. Meanwhile, penalty, ref called Forbes for fouling Morgan with the punch -- ok, she went for ball and didn't get it(?), and took out the attacker. Sigh.

WOW Heath is actually told to leave the pitch due to the bleeding from the turf burn. US down to 10.

Announcers are calling out the PK call. The GK legitimately got to the ball 1st, and punched it away, while Morgan applied a kick to the ribs of the GK.

22' 1-0 USA pk, Lloyd right instep lifts into back right high, unsaveable.

I shall cleanse my palate with an aww moment. Kittens found a new chew toy.

This is a terrible game. Honestly only going to finish it to see if Colaprico and Lavelle get in.

That was a pretty bs penalty.
There have been several times where T&T has crammed the middle on D, letting the US overload the far flank (particularly Trinidad's left) but the US has not yet effectively gotten the ball far post.

That should have gone the other way. This ref is having a shocker.

#10 with a Yellow even while getting ball. Also kicked the ref with the ball (though not on purpose).

28' 1-0 Klingenberg down box left, cuts inside and loses ball. Klingenberg 2nd try, cuts right to arc top box left, #10 Tasha St. Louis comes back and body-bumps her down. Foul, yellow card on St. Louis. It pours indoors ...

29' 1-0 USA fk at 17m box left, blocked wide left.
30' 1-0 USA left ck, Heath to 4m 1/3 left, Forbes double-axes it away. Rebound shot, defender heads away. USA are not threatened beyond midfield ...

30' 1-0 Heath shot/cross from ~10m mid-left, blocked. Ball pings over Lloyd facing away at 6-top left, she spins cw to 4m and hooks a cross to 5m 1/4 right -- Morgan (and everybody else) clearly behind ball, heads a soft floater over Forbes scrambling, in. No goal, offside :p refs have a sense of humor

Dunn almost with some magic, but the GK with a huge save, that has the ball hit the post!

34' 1-0 Dunn cuts past #4 at 24m centerline, darts through arc top to 18m, shoots right instep curl. Forbes dives (her) left and blocks it onto right post head-high, bounces away. Nice save!

35' 1-0 USA (Johnston?) chips from ~midfield circle right to 25m mid-left, Morgan one-touch left instep knockdown touch through arc top for Lloyd to chase. One CB has inside position with Lloyd on her back -- calmly escorts ball wide and clears into near touch. Something to tell the grandkids about :giggle:

36' 1-0 USA cross from the left, chip from ~arc top mid-right to Lloyd unmarked but facing away at 6-top right. Lloyd tries the cheeky 1-touch standing bicycle toe-tap -- too soft, floats to Forbes at right post face-high.
