and it's shrinking. We are closing Mildenhall (going to miss Mickey's Bangers), have closed places like Bamberg and Heidelberg (I personally shut off the lights) and are set to close a few installations in Italy. But what the general population is not aware of (unless you watch the BBC or follow Reuters) is that we are increasing a presence in the Pacific.
Pacific. Increase in the Pacific you say. I think all our service boys will enjoy dem some L.B.F.M.P.B.R.'s!!! They luv u long time! HAHA!!!
wake me up when the great nation of iran that follows the religion of peace gives us back our hostages.
We need this guy/idiot back on, if for nothing else to give him a civics lesson as to why the Texas Supreme Court ruled today - it was because the city improperly tried to avoid a referendum that opponents obtained enough valid signatures to enforce. At least make an attempt to read about what happened Web Tilton– @webtilton Texas Supreme Court decides it’s ok to discriminate against people in Houston. Say what, WestsideCosmo follows me on Twitter. Why????? And why am I an idiot because I think it's wrong to celebrate with unbridled glee the overturning of a law that bans discrimination? And yes, I know the story, and I believe the fact that the opponents had enough valid signatures is up for debate. AND WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THE HOUSTON DYNAMO, MR. WESTSIDE.??? I haven't been on BS in a year at least. I used to think Westside was immature but soccer smart. But I never saw him call anyone an idiot before. This place used to be fun. By the way, I was lured back to BS by a Twitter post labelled "whatever happened to former posters." There are some guys I wonder about too, but I won't fall for this trap again. Bye.
So, this is what Friday night feels like at BigSoccer... On Fridays, I'm usually at a steakhouse, getting kicked out for pinching a waitress... So much fun here!
Your tweet is completely wrong/false. Most of your other stuff like the existence of "peaceful Iraninan extremists" is funny but this one was completely misleading. No such ruling occurred, city of Houston just was told to follow its own laws and city ordinances. And for you, a guy who thinks that Voter ID laws are racist and unnecessary to claim that petition signatures might be invalid is f'n hilarious. Yeah, I trust that these guys who can't speak English and look like they came from El Salvador are eligible to vote for Obama but I'm gonna really scrutinize and question the accuracy of the street addresses of a bunch of white retirees who voted to have the gay rights ordinance go to a citywide vote. Bye. MSNBC needs your ratings points.
Former posters: Whatever happened to that Ponce kid that I chased away from here? I already miss him.
I miss this @brahmafutbol guy, we don't have enough folks willing to take refugees into his neighborhood on this board Hello, @GregAbbott_TX , any comment? pic.twitter.com/vn870D82Y3— Web 🕸 Tilton ☮️🚴🏼 (@webtilton) November 21, 2015
Bring them on. We have plenty of room here. I've got land too, they are welcome to stay as long as they need.
This whole issue is being blown up by one political party to attempt to characterize their opposition as being meanies. This county has historically offered refuge for individuals fleeing from oppression, in fact this country has probably accepted more refugees than any other. The problem with the current migration of individuals from Syria is that there is no way of adequately screening them. The first priority of the United States is to protect its citizens and part of that protection is a thorough vetting process for anyone who would seek to live here (legally). Part of that process is inquiries made in the county of their residence to determine whether or not they have criminal records etc. We have no way of doing that because we have no relationship with Syria diplomatically. The interview process for refugees is primarily conducted by UNHCR at refugee camps throughout the region, the US then conducts interviews with the individuals applying for refugee status. The actual process takes quite a long time and individuals spend many months in those camps before they are allowed to enter the US. But that process is only about 10% of the intensive investigative efforts that we devote to background checks for a security clearance for an individual who is seeking access to classified material. Our current vetting methods for persons granted security clearances were incapable of uncovering the potential for the unauthorized access and publication of classified material by Edward Snowden and Bradley (Chelsea) Manning. How can we expect a process that is 90% less intensive to uncover the potential for terrorism by these folks. All that is being asked is that the US Government develop adequate processes to certify that an individual seeking asylum here does not represent a threat to our citizens.
this is like the 60 minutes story last week-half true. When you subcontract your work to for profit companies that decide that the dollar trumps national security, then you get Snowden. When you have Police Departments that refuse to give police reports (even with a SF release) for fear of being sued, you have a f#$#ed up bureaucracy and get Alexis. When Congress reminded Seattle PD that they got federal funds, they seemed to remember to be more cooperative since then. But your point about vetting them is true. Their stories can be true and checked but what if they just bury their hate for American down deep and no one knows about it. But then again-what about the white kid from OH last year. White bread, apple pie American, all State Wrestler, that was just pissed off at the world and decided to try and join ISIS and blow up some buildings in DC. I heard he was a refugee-from Pittsburgh.
I'm sorry, but the "what about the white kid" line is constantly pulled out by the media in every crime or terror situation where the majority of the crimes are committed by non-whites. Like the Knockout Game thing, the vast, vast majority of them are blacks on whites but yet local TV keeps showing the video of the Katy kid knocking out the black old guy like this is the most common offense
C'mon Nigel, let's not pretend like the same thing isn't happening in the other direction. You get a terrorist attack in France that is planned by a Belgian national and executed primarily be a combination of French and Belgian nationals and the Republican party can't even wait a day before they try to scare an ignorant electorate that knows no better with visions of refugees coming to the United States to attack us. It's complete and utter crap on a number of levels, but fear has always made for great politics. The really sad thing is that this is exactly the reaction extremists are looking for with this type of attack. We play right into their hands. Once again, this is the kind of stuff that makes me happy to vote neither Republican nor Democrat. Two sides of the same coin.
Why do y'all let Westside turn every single thread into a political discussion? I'm NOT complaining about Westside. I'm complaining that y'all let him exploit your inner desires to save the world. Or to argue a point. Or to prove somebody wrong.
