Horrible communication between Wes Morgan and goalie Kerr causes Panama to go up 2-0 with an innocnt Alberto Quintero cross. Panama 2-0 Jamaica in Kingston
Canada open up the score in BC Place, Wil Johnson with the header home from Junior Hoilett. I think it's Cyle Larin's gol tho... it is.

Honduras players flashing 8 fingers at Canada support as they walked off at halftime. Weren't flashing any fingers at full time. #Bitches— Brennan Fan (@Brennan_Fan113) November 14, 2015
Some of the tweets from that account seem unnecessarily hostile especially after a win @JeffDSalisbury that's exactly what they'll be doing on the trip back to that shithole they call home— Brennan Fan (@Brennan_Fan113) November 14, 2015
Pretty much the only country Canadian soccer fans are hostile to is Honduras. There is a lot of background. For instance in 2008 in Montreal, there were fights and violence and bad things that Canadian fans blamed on the large number of Honduras fans at the game. Many haven't forgot that. I don't hold those views because I wasn't there, but if there is one country I am tired of losing to, it's Honduras.
I thought it was funny he was pointing out the humble pie the Honduran players ate after being cocky due to the previous 8-1 score line. If you didn't like it, fair enough, but I don't care.

Huge win! I am bias but I thought this was the most impressive victory in the first day of qualifiers. Hopefully they can get a victory against the Ticos at home but that'll be a tough test. Never the less good start to the campaign!

Beating us once allows the media to consider it a "fluke win because the USA weren't interested". Get something from this game tonight... ...and there can be no question of focus or quality - you're the better team.
If you post your e-mail address or start a conversation (private message) with me and tell me your e-mail address, I'll e-mail you a spreadsheet I made with the 81 (3*3*3*3) scenarios for each group. To summarize, here is how many scenarios out of 81 each team will advance in (ranges of amounts are given because of scenarios where the goal differential tiebreaker would be necessary): Mexico: 81 Canada: 30 to 43 Honduras: 28 to 43 El Salvador: 7 to 13 Costa Rica: 80 to 81 (there's 1 scenario of a three-way tie for first where they could be eliminated) Panama: 60 to 72 Jamaica: 9 to 21 Haiti 0 to 1 (the only way they can advance is a three-way tie for second) Trinidad and Tobago: 74 to 79 USA: 49 to 61 Guatemala: 24 to 36 St. Vincent and the Grenadines: 0 I know that the 81 scenarios are not equally likely, so Team X could advance in more scenarios than Team Y and Team Y could still be more likely to advance.
T&T vs Guatemala Sept 2nd in Port of Spain. Because of the table standings, Guatemala is in a must win position while T&T playing at home and leading the table with 10 points only need a draw. I am expecting a win at home for my country http://www.socawarriors.net/forum/index.php?topic=64729.0
@EvanJ or others. As for the upcoming Saturday Hex draw, statistically will we have any idea the matchups by that time? Could we back into it given the current standings?
I'd say that only half of the teams are more or less guaranteed: Mexico as A1, Costa Rica as B1 and Panama as B2 (the latter two could very well change in September). Right now, history aside, A2 is a toss-up between Honduras and Canada, while C1 and C2 will likely be decided on the very last day (with the US hosting T&T in Jacksonville).
http://www.concacaf.com/article/off...caf-qualifying-for-fifa-world-cup-russia-2018 says the draw is Friday, not Saturday. You called me into this topic and I didn't even know the draw was soon. I would think this is the first time the Hexagonal draw was done before the Semifinals ended. After the draw, you could use the standings to determine a bunch of possible scenarios. Here's the math: Group A: 3 scenarios Mexico is first Canada, Honduras, and El Salvador could all be second Group B: 7 scenarios 1. Costa Rica first and Panama second 2. Costa Rica first and Jamaica second 3. Costa Rica first and Haiti second 4. Panama first and Costa Rica second 5. Panama first and Jamaica second 6. Jamaica first and Costa Rica second 7. Jamaica first and Panama second Group C: 6 scenarios USA, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guatemala can all advance by finishing first or second with either of the other two advancing also. 3*7*6 = 126 possibilities. You can try to write them all out if you want, but it would take a while. If you're just interested in one country or one matchup, there are fewer possibilities. For example, after the draw there will be two possible matchdays for USA hosting Mexico and vice versa. In the above, I included all possibilities even if they required something ridiculous like St. Vincent and the Grenadines beating the USA.
