News: Carlisle: Najar, Mwanga and Tchani on U.S. radar

26 year old Tony Tchani will NEVER be as good as JJ, even on JJ's average days.

Tchani has only been a regular starter/full season guy in MLS for 2 years! I've been watching him since UVA (my best friend played with him there), he's not good enough!

 

That was a LONG time between posts in this thread. over 4.5 years.

 

I have two thoughts.

1. Good for Tony.
2. Cameroon has really fallen.

 

Eyong Enoh has 53 caps for Cameroon.....

 

He picked up an injury, which forced him to decline his call up.

 

And Cameroon give it another try:

Tchani, Oyongo and Abang called up by Cameroon

 

Shawn Mitchell of the Columbus Dispatch is reporting that Tchani has accepted the callup from Cameroon for its two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa next week. Tchani will be cap-tied to Cameroon if he takes the field in these matches.

 

btw what's the news on Najar? He still with Anderlecht?

 

Good for him. USMNT is a touch above his level.

 

Question re: Tchani. How do we interpret his actions this year? Guy comes in, samples US camp, says "lol no this sucks" and goes to play for Cameroon? Or do we view it as his heart always being with Cameroon, and his US stint was basically just for fun?
