I can't wait to see Bjork sing the national anthem at Providence Park. Portland is pulling out all the stops.
I do think if Farrelly is motivated she can be a good player for Boston but who knows what version of Farrelly they will get. As for Zerboni, if she plays next year it most likely will be her last
Seems Hagen is about to end up in Orlando as well. Expected though. Looks like Alex Morgan, Kaylyn Kyle and Sarah Hagen arriving in Orlando. Hagen is currently on FC Kansas City. #NWSL https://t.co/LklSwTNJTT— Caitlin Murray (@caitlinmurr) October 26, 2015
This can't be a trade right? Right? What does Orlando have at this point to make a trade? 2017 picks?
Well given the list haven't even being released yet and that draft haven't happen, it doesn't make sense. If that case the case, the should have said ******** it and present Harris as well.
So FCKC get 15th overall in this draft and 2nd rounder in 2017 plus the promise that Orlando will go easy on their squad. Chicago your move now.
Well, technically, Morgan and Kyle won't be coming to Orlando until after Kling goes in the expansion draft, and Kling hasn't officially been left on any currently-available lists either, so they're not exactly doing things in order here.
Chicago should trade Orlando some of their international spots in my opinion. I can see Orlando being aggressive in the international market if they have the spots to sign players.
I'm always amused when they do things like freeze rosters for a whole week to wait until the expansion draft. If there are two or more teams it might make some sense. But if Orlando is ready to pick the players, why wait a whole week?
So we essentially gave Hagen away...hmmm, must be some other sort of agreement not released having to do with the expansion draft.
I see it from the perspective of the league wanting to keep themselves in the news instead of doing everything at once.
So it seems Orlando actually gets FCKC 2nd round pick in 2016 plus Hagen. And FCKC only gets the 2017 2nd rounder. I'm more convinced now that there is an unofficial agreement that they leave the FCKC roster during the draft.
Or they wanted to make sure they got something instead of getting nothing for Hagen should she have been unprotected. Let's also not forget that the 2017 draft is a very good draft class compared to 2016.
OK, those of you who have read the rules is that actually possible??? Seems like a perversion of expansion draft. I get it we are talking Portland and Alex Morgan, but still! Also Holy CARP, indeed. This is kind of stinky.
Wait you can trade expansion picks? C'mon Harvey, leave Solo unprotected and let Portland go after HAO.
Wonder if it was done in advance to protect their unprotected allocated players and make sure Kling was the one on the chopping block. Edit: Although if Portland is just straight up getting the first pick in the exp draft, I guess all teams would have to be fully onboard.
