contributed with paypal. Just wanted you to know that's it's difficult to use a credit card and that might be affecting the fundraising. Even though I indicated my country at the top of the form when I pushed submit it cleared the country and I had to enter my info again. Only to then have it say my credit cannot be used for this purchase.
I think it's a matter of supply and demand. I doubt he's getting a TON of business, so make the price as reasonable as possible.
I think that here are too many mixed feelings on that. Keeping it simple is important, too. Gulati can fire Klinsmann, but it would require a board to remove Gulati.
Let's not forget that the higher up Sunil borrows into Fifa's nest, the closer he gets to "Too Big to Fail". He's the next Blazer being born.
This is weird logic. Why spend money on anything? Why even spend money on a ticket to the game when you could just donate it to charity?
In fairness to THIS community, Big Soccer is the second largest director of contributors (second to FB). It's not been a week yet. But I still had hoped for a faster response. I'm new at this, so I'm doing what I can to get the message out.
"Too Big to Fail" might describe our investment in Klinsmann. Because, to our great sorrow, it's way more than just his salary.
Whereas, I always said I'd be willing to sacrifice some important games to the process of truly elevating the US National Team game.* That's why I originally wanted Klinsmann - which is so ironic, because the dude has said one thing out his mouth then done everything in his power to put us back in the stone age.
*Isn't this the Orwellian line US Soccer is currently cramming down our throat, anyway? So you're fer it, or against it.
More power to those who feel strongly enough to make something like this happen. I won't be supporting the effort but, don't have any problem with others expressing their frustrations in an overt way. Personally, I'd like the USSF presidency to be a paying position and would support an effort to make that happen. Any president who comes out and says that a manager's job is safe for 4 years no matter the circumstance deserves to be fired. I think it's time for some new ideas, starting at the very top.
It's not that big of a deal to donate 20 bucks or whatever if you care about the team and want Klinsmann out. Fan pressure often results in coaches getting sacked in football around the world. Hopefully our fan base is not so timid as to not take advantage of this opportunity.
If I'm not mistaken, for most sporting events, the airspace around the stadium is closed off to the public...
