Pelosi was up walking with a slight limp. He was holding his shinguard, which again suggests to me a contusion on his shin not a twist or anything on knee or ankle--which would definitely be good.

Josh Deaver tweeted: "Pelosi just said 'F*** it's broken' #USMNT"

But other tweets are saying he's up and walking on the sideline without assistance (although with a limp)

Cuba should be banned from these tournaments. They always injure our players. Learn the game and then you can play in these tournaments. Its a safety hazard to our players.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think what is broken is his shinguard.

    About playing forward.
But nothing else. No tactics. No player relations. Maybe how to work I'm training, but no overtraining.

Morris was great. He ran out of gas with the college cardio, game a couple days earlier, and frenetic style. You could see him trying to push thru already in the 30th minute and was pretty much spent at 55-60. But it shows you his special motor/will that he was able to still have an impact. He's not afraid to try things without hesitation and he has surprising close control for a speed forward. Got the ball out of his feet well on the assist and goal in the previous game.

I only saw highlights of the previous game, so I can't speak about Kiesewetter on a macro-level, but on a micro I thought he was poor. And the issues sprung up from not reading the game as opposed to stamina. From the beginning he wasn't making the right decision in terms of pass or run, leading to to's. But he scored a couple tap-ins off the creation of others. All is forgiven?

Future is definitely bright at CB. Miazga and CCV were smooth in their passing, snuffed out what chances they were faced with decisively, and created their own on set pieces. USS was right, CCV really gets after it in the air in spite of being shortish for his position. Strong, explosive, and determined.

Gil still plays some nifty balls. I'd like to see him make a move to one of the better teams in the Spanish Segunda or something like that after his MLS contract expires. He needs his team to virtually boss games and play technical.

Polster is a destroyer who is comfortable enough on the ball. Good future there I think.

Still think the team could use even more creativity/aggression in cm and true width. What problems they have, are some of the same as the senior team, seemingly.

I believe this means we've clinched first place. That is if the tiebreaker is head to head. Only team that can catch us in points is Canada.

I don't think they were trying to injure either, but their attempts at tackles injure our players because their timing is so bad.

It's not head to head. It's goal differential.

    Goal differential is first
    Then goals scored
    Then head to head
Those were the tiebreakers last time anyway. I figure some outlet would have said so if we'd clinched first.

Cannot read too much into a match against Cuba, but the midfield today was far better than the midfield against Canada in possession. Worth another run in the 3rd game.

Lots of options and patience. Really like when the CMs are connected with the back four and each other. Both of the fullbacks helped us keep the ball moving and Boyd played within himself.

I think there are things that should translate to tougher competition. Polster and Trapp have large passing ranges and with Morris' movement we are going to open up teams in transition.

Just lost 10K in Vegas!!! Just kidding, but giving up a goal at the end
At least some of the Cubans realized what a hopeless cause they had, so they decided to take in the sights instead.
