If he wants to really do something, he should donate half a week's salary, which would be at least $50K (no idea what money he is on) vs boots that will fetch $10K at the very best.
Thanks. I was surprised to see couple of them still wear the old vapors as well. They must take care of them really well. I saw few punters wear some soccer cleats as well. Maybe this group will have an Adidas wearer...(-:
I love the fly knit uppers, the dynamic fit collar doesn't bother me, but I don't see a need for it at the same time. Just make lower cut flyknit boots. The current ones have a break in period so having to break in a new color every other week must get annoying. Especially since they all get sent 8 pairs of the same colorways each time.
It's strange that it bothers so many players, I personally really like the sock. Granted it took some pretty major getting used to initially, but after a while it just feels 'right'. Maybe top players aren't prepared to take that period of time. I can't see Nike dropping it though.... Not now adidas are in the game.
Not just Adidas, I saw prototypes of evospeeds with a sock now. I would love to have a flyknit vapor, that I can do with
Gerard Pique, Nike Tiempo A LOT of players in new X 15 colorway Rakitic in unreleased Ace 15.1 PrimeKnit Neymar (again) in MV 10
at first, I thought he was wearing the metallic ice Messi's boots. I really thought he lost a bet to Messi and that was his punishment...(-: The color looks very nice on the pitch, I'm not a fan of the volt splatter pattern but the whole pack should do very well on the pitch
James Wilson training in some bizarre prototypes in preparation for the match against Sunderland. United posted photos to their Facebook page. Unfortunately don't know how to insert photos from my phone
Looks like it. To my eyes, they look like some form of the Primeknit without laces. I tried to zoom on the writing on the boot but it got too blurry.
Needing to explain that statement makes the point moot.....as you grow older and more cynical you will understand a similar position to mine when it taken on things like this situation.
I understand what you're saying, but I don't agree with 'if he is serious he would donate his own money'. That's not entirely fair, he has a family, brothers, parents, possibly even a child, to provide for. I just dont like the idea he donates money he has earned. I get that people reckon footballers earn 'too much' (which is entirely subjective and only because of how much money football generates) but it is not his job to go donating money that he has earned at the levels you're suggesting. On top of that, he isn't even one of the highest earning 'top' players in football. Ronaldo does it, but he can afford it because he earns something like £30m annually and has run out of things to a) buy and b) promote. Finally.... The notion that people donate their own money rather than 'fundraise' can be spread worldwide. Why dont you donate 10% of your salary to charity if YOURE so serious about the subject? You see, it's easy to sit in your ivory tower, but people are quick to criticise others when they wouldn't be prepared to do the same themselves. Footballers are media machines. They're heavily trained, and they have to act as 'role models' (which is nonsense in itself but thats a different matter) so if Gotze publishes things like this, chances are it isnt a heartfelt plea, but a request from his media agent. Who knows? He could have inspired 10,000 people to donate money, which is surely more than he would have provided? /rant over
Obviously since you're so much smarter than everyone on here only your opinion matters and should be taken as fact.
That word has been thrown about..supposedly....I think the idea of changing your boots how you want but not going the same thing/concept as they did before.
Man utd players in the new Nike line and Adidas X. (L_R): Smalling in Tiempo, Bastian in Adidas X (it matches the training top so well), Lingard and Martial in Vapors and Rooney in Magistas.
Adidas doing a piece with Juan Cuadrado, showed a close up of his X's - leather forefoot but still with the Techfit collar
