He wasn't that great then either. He played fantastic for the first half of his first season, and fantastic in the Champions League the year afterwards. He was average at best, to absolute useless trash the rest of his time at Bayern. One of the worst signings if we consider his wages.
Not to mention him working so much harder to be in shape for the NT, whilst sucking hairy donkey balls at Bayern.
Factually wrong. Under Jonker he did well as a supporting ST, CAM type role behind Gomez and showed great professionalism. Subsequently he was offered a new 1 Year Contract with reduced wages with the option that if he starts a fixed number of games or gets X minutes his contract, the club "WILL" have the option to renew his contract automatically. Klose demanded a Minimum 2 Year Contract and we did not want to give a 30+ more than 1 Year Contract at that point of time(some policy) plus Klose was on high wages and old and was never a starter. We did not want to let him go then as we have only Olic as CF backup, Muller was not looked as a ST then and we needed minimum 3/4 we so that apart from a 4-2-3-1 we could if need be play 4-4-2 which was Jupp's favourite formation(and he used it in Leverkusen). Remember this was the Munich CHL Final Year and we desperately wanted a strong squad but did not have the budget to spend huge on players - Neuer, Boateng, Rafinha, Usami, Peterson(Look at the last 2 players). Peterson was bought as 3rd ST when Klose left(He would have perhaps be 4th ST anyways even if Klose stayed). Also Jupp did made it work with the 4-2-3-1, however his 4-2-3-1 was either a 4-3-3 with Kroos dropping so deep making it a three main midfield or a 4-4-1-1/4-4-2 type(CHL Semis & Finals) - We played in 2 Distinct Banks of 4 with Muller playing very high as ST, almost on par with Gomez. Anyways I think Klose is over-praised and over-criticized. He was a decent ST with decent technique and a good heading ability. I don't think he was every Bayern's Leading ST material no matter what he did with Germany. He was never that good a Goal-Scorer. But Klose's link-up play was good, so he was never truly a liability which penalty Box ST's like Gomez are. You are always playing 10 Men including GK as they can only score
well, it was clear from the very beginning that your understanding is limited to the very basic things and elements and thus I comes as no surprise that a simple metaphor is beyond anything you could even remotely understand our put into context. Hence your smilie parade to compensate the lack of the aforementioned
what's yours to begin with? You came in here basically "accusing" Bayern on missing out on a player. as if he were something bigger, better and a kind of a rarity that Bayern would need to snatch him no matter the cost, sense and need.
It appears we were deep in conversation when the Madridshista showed up and Nermin continued his pre-teen Hojberg fanboy fanatics. Just another day here.
I'm a big fan of Kovacic, I think he's one of the biggest talents in the world, at the same level as the likes of Pogba or Hazard before he went to Chelsea. His vision is truly outstanding for his age, he can take the ball from deep like Alaba, incredibly intelligent player but due to his youth still prone to some mistakes, his dribbling ability is probably the best in his age group, and he has blistering pace. He is a player in the mold of Toni Kroos, if Toni Kroos had retard speed and incredible dribbling ability.
