Not at all. Feeling very 'eh' about the ACE. The leather one though, well, thats a different story. Absolutely amazing, The synthetic just feels so average and disappointing.
I've got a synthetic pair that I'm going to try out for the first time tomorrow - The fit does remind me of the LZ2. Looking forward to seeing how they play. Its been a while since I've played with a thicker upper (thick for me anyway) they certainly look the part but lets see how they play! appleCORR

Excuse my ignorance but are they evoSpeeds? How does the sizing work out (true to size in UK sizing?) Whats the protection like? (is the upper excessively thin?) cheers!
Yeah they are and they're standard puns size( so half size up from Nike) The leather is is a decent thickness, but sure if you get a heavy blow it'll protect you
I still have the yellow colour way too. It's a treasure! I didn't know they came in a white sole plate! Mine is black like all others I've seen on friends.

Well done. You should have made a how to video. What did you do with the soleplate? How did you black it out? Did you use any type of finisher to ensure the paint dose not come off? Again, job well done
Thank you I was thinking of making a video, but it would've been too much work editing. Plus, there are a few on YouTube already. For the my soleplates (Copa and one of the Hypervenoms), I used Kyrlon Fusion plastic spray paint. I sanded the soleplates and sprayed 3 coats. It doesn't work well though. After waiting 1 week (Krylon says the paint should be chip resistant after 1 week), I tried flexing the soleplate of the Copas and some of the paint came off... On my friend's Phantom, I just put on a few coats of leather dye (I know it'll come off for sure, but oh well). As for the finisher, I used Angelus matte finisher. I actually used dye, not paint (I think it's better since it's meant to seep into the material rather than sit on top of it). Hope that helps, cheers.
They don't make them like this anymore! Adidas Nova Mundial. I remember buying these boots with my mum back in 2001. She was trying to convince me to buy the predator precisions in the white champions league colourway and i said to mum, i'm not that flash! I wish i had of bought them too! Extremely soft kangaroo leather, one of my all time favourite boots and the first retail adidas boot with a tongue strap! Joe Cole was wearing these when he hit the scene!
