Those look great but I never get why MiAdidas doesn't offer the same personalisation as they did with the Pro's boots. appleCORR
ADIDAS GLORO 16.1 BLACK / NIGHT METALLIC / SOLAR GREEN / SOLAR BLUE The heal makes me feel like they may be boost there??? So thick... Unless that's just the plastic cup heel.
Hi guys, anyone care to enlighten us about the performance of the X 15.1 ? I am looking to buy new boots for the season, and been looking at the X15.1 and the hypervenom 2. How does the X perform?
A bit of a random question - but does anyone know what Adidas's 'solar red' colour way is like? I was looking at Miadidas and can't decide if its red with a bit of orange or more with a hint of pink. appleCORR
It's more of an orange than red I believe. They always trick me and then I'll go to the store and just get bummed
You have an option for solar red? In Canada my options were Scarlet (the one I went with in the end) Solar Orange and Flash Red.
So far they perform well when they aren't making my feet cramp up. I found the sole plate really stiff and it took two training sessions to break in but they perform well on both fg/ag surfaces at least. Shooting in them is great I found, you get a nice pop from them which is probably just in my head. Overall I'm satisfied now that they are broken in a bit and will definitely continue using them until I buy something new.
Thank guys! See, I thought it looked like an orange colour when I made my boot up, but it was hard to tell from the diagram. I actually think that they have added a few more colours since I last looked because I remember not being too impressed with the options. appleCORR
I'm thinking about giving the Ace a go but I've heard so many mixed reviews about it I'm hesitant to make the purchase. Has anyone written a detailed review about it yet (both the leather and the synthetic models)?
http://www.soccercleats101.com/2015/07/20/adidas-ace15-1-complete-boot-review/ Haven't seen any reviews for the leather. I've tried on both. Both feel good. Obviously the leather is a bit more comfortable out of the box and seems to be a good quality. I really enjoyed the feel of the outsole just walking around. The synthetic seems decent kinda stiff but defintly not bad. Definitely different than the Opus, but that may be a good thing depending on how you feel about the Opus. Not what I expected, but of course there is a big difference between trying them on and playing in them.
Several of the my players have shown up to training for the new season in the X. All of them are synthetic, no leather which is a bummer. I tried on a pair of 10.5's that a player had which were a bit tight (I am a solid 11 in synthetic adidas), but they felt ok material wise. I am curious about the leather model because I have rated the leather F50 as my favorite performance boot (outside of the Morelia MIJ) in a long time. Durability has been shit except for the last model, but whatever, they play well while they last. One thing I don't like about the synthetic is the "sock" liner it is not a fully encompassing system...it is just stitched under the tongue at the most proximal point, while the tongue is independent other than what has the liner stitched into it. I really thought this was going to be a bootie that went around a lot of the foot or created a mono fit. I'd be willing to bet that this "sock" only came to pass once the true collar of Nike got some steam, this was probably just the next F50 until then with no liner. It is just some shitty fabric laid into the edges of the ankle/heel/tongue. Kinda weak and seems thrown together honestly.
Has anyone else who wears the X found a way of making the collar less slippy? - other than Trusox. I have a pair but they are really thick so not great for this time of year. appleCORR
As close as you can get to a now defunct predator. Found the the incurza rugby in AG sole on ebay for a bargain. Sent off to TootsBoots to get the inside white parts blacked out.
Hi all, I've got $200 to spend on the Adidas website. I play casually and am looking to get the best value out of my money. I'm looking at either the Copa mundial ($200 AUD) or the Ace 15.3 ($100). So I'm faced with decision of one pair of mundials or two pairs of ace 15.3s. Do you think the superior build quality would make one pair of mundials last as long as two pairs of 15.3s? Also anyone who may have worn both, how would you compare them. Thanks for any advice, Maachado
I haven't tried the ace 15.3 but I still regularly wear a pair of copas that have been going strong for two years on artificial turf and on grass, with no sign of them breaking any time soon. Cops mundials are well known as some of the most comfortable, well made and durable boots around. The Adidas 'takedown' models in general don't really get great reviews. I definitely recommend the copas, although like I say I haven't tried the 15.3.
They look really sharp blacked out - I like it. Sidenote, I got a pair of the old incurza's blacked out. the smell from them when they got wet was awfull! Can you keep us posted if you get any smell issues when they are wet?
