Last winter, Spanish clubs Almeria and Elche attempted to acquire Hyndman on loan, but were both turned down. Dutch club SC Cambuur also had a loan offer rejected. More recently, German side VfB Stuttgart has been among the teams to make an offer for Hyndman.

I'd love to see him in either Holland or Spain.

Fulham won't let him terminate his contract. He's too good. They'll sell either now or in January for a decent fee.

I would love see Hyndman lead Fulham back to the EPL I miss watching Yanks playing there. (McBride and Dempsey). Fulham always treated Americans well.

If they look to stay in the championship he will definitely get traded. Holland or Germany would be ideal.

Didn't both Almeria and Elche get relegated last year? Lol. Thank you Fulham!

I know Fulham is still in the 2nd division as well, but that wouldn't have been a good look to be part of the sinking ship after arriving. Getting to play at least a little La Liga ball would've still been cool though.

I believe all three of the big prospects for Fulham in Hyndmans age group are in the same boat, with one year left on their contracts. Fulham already sold Patrick Roberts to Man City, and judging by preseason Hyndman seems to be on the way out as well.

Could be good for Luca though. Clear out and let the next wave come in and some at Fulham think Luca is a better prospect than Emerson.

I agree with that sentiment, if Luca has a big U17 WC I could see him in a similar position to Patrick Roberts where he signs with a top club. Hes already a fixture in their U21 team, and is projected to make his debut with the first team next season if all goes well.

I hope Hyndman makes a move to the continent personally. Germany, Netherlands and Spain would all be preferable IMHO to English football for his development. Just my two cents.

I can see this. Luca has a lot of the same qualities Hyndman has, but with better physical characteristics. I'm not sure if he has the soccer IQ Hyndman has, but not many players in their age bracket do.

I think Italy would work well for Hyndman also.

As for De La Torre, I'm not sure he'll get enough exposure at the u17 world cup, but that's a bit difficult to anticipate. There is just so much talent in the USA U-17 midfield, I can easily some top talent getting overlooked, although his club play won't hurt.

I find it hard to blame Hyndman. He went from playing almost every game with Magath to M.I.A. with Symons.

I have a soft spot for Fulham, but they look to be on a major downward trajectory.

A source close to the situation............... Could that be Grandpa??? ;) :D

Nonetheless, it's been said but Fulham doesn't look to be the "Fulham" of old; the Fulham chalk full of Yanks. They look to be a languishing club, unfortunately. I hope Emerson gets out and gets out before the ship sinks further. The kid is a very talented player and I hope everyone involved strikes when the iron is hot. I would love to see Emerson latch onto a Spanish or Dutch side. His game seems tailor made for those leagues.

Maybe its more like Fulham returning to what they'd been for most of their history!!!! Fulham's been a "little engine that could" for a while in the Premier League. Since they were founded in the 1870's, they've only spent 25 years or so in the "top flight" (whatever it was at the time).

They had Al-Fayed's resources, and now they don't. They've gone "all in" of youth development. The number of kids from their youth squads that they've given appearances to over the last two years has been remarkable. Unfortunately that development doesn't get you very far if you don't re-sign them (see Dembele, Hyndman) or sell them before they can have an impact (like the kid they just sold to Man City).

I would love to see him join my club. Even if he starts out with the reserves, we have one of the only Bundesliga reserve teams playing in the 3rd Bundesliga, so he would get decent, consistent competition with a real chance to work his way up to the first team sooner rather than later. Didavi is talented by constantly injured, Maxim had a great start, but he is more of a wing player and has also struggled with injuries the past year. As a VfB fan, this seems more legit than the earlier talk of Wood joining up.

I thought Hyndman stood a good chance of starting the League Cup game tonight, but he's on the bench again.

If he's out of contract after this season, are they going to play him at all?

Why would they? And if he wants to leave, why not get a transfer done ASAP so you can get money and maybe sign someone else?

If you want to transfer someone, it often helps the process along to play them a bit.

    Hyndman DNP today.
