The Weser Kurier takes a lot of photos. Here's their Werder page http://www.weser-kurier.de/werder.html and a few examples (and lots of AJ in this Fotostrecke http://www.weser-kurier.de/werder/w...Training-am-Donnerstag-_mediagalid,35231.html)
Just curious, are you from the Stratford area? I'm a Memorial grad and Andrew Luck coached me at a 7on7 camp. Really nice dude and could throw the ball a mile, even then.
My father is a Houston area attorney, he got to know Oliver through the Houston legal community in the late 80's/ early 90's and when Oliver worked with the Houston sports Authority (something to that effect, I can ask him about it later) I'm younger than Andrew and I don't really know him (he would know who I am if I introduced myself though)... I grew up in Spring but went to Strake Jesuit. I read somewhere that Andrew likes to follow Yanks Abroad so I wouldn't be surprised if he reads this. Hi, Andrew.
This quote seems like it belongs in the late 90's. I'm sure that the success of Dempsey and McBride has already shown young players that.
"Whoa, that's so interesting. I aspire to look like the ever youthful star of the teen classic Footloose, but you choose to emulate Gerard Depardieu, the fat years... Just shows there are many paths in this world..."
There was a quote from the coach somewhere in this thread that he wouldn't be ready for the Cup game yet.
Bild is worthless as a source for real world news, but they do get some decent footy info. The people they sell their tabloid stories to are often also fans of the game.

Seems like AJ is having a tough time in training. I hope he gets a chance to come off the bench this Saturday.
Good stuff from the captain. He's essentially keeping pressure off from Aron. That's really nice of him. That should help Aron when he gets on the field to be more 'relaxed'.
I'm making an assumption, it's more related to fitness, based on the comments made by Aron and the club captain.
Skripnik in the press conference today was cryptic about whether AJ would play on Saturday, and he hasn't decided on the starting XI yet. http://www.weser-kurier.de/werder/w...ist-in-herausragender-Form-_arid,1186562.html "Every player needs a certain amount of time before he finds himself. But if he trains better than his competitors then he is of course a candidate for the game against Schalke."
It's all coachspeak to me. Nobody's going to just come out and make absolute statements to the media, fans, and the opposing team about who's playing. Keeping players on their toes is a smart thing to do.
In the 18 for Saturday: SV Werder Bremen Here's the 18-man #Werder squad for our Bundesliga clash with FC Schalke 04 tomorrow afternoon: Zetterer, Wiedwald - Gálvez, Lukimya, Vestergaard, Fritz, Jóhannsson, Öztunali, Junuzovic, Kroos, U.
