Ive had the 2004 Mist Blue vapors now since they were released, i previously have had a Chrome pair and a Orange pair of Vapor 1's they both did give me blisters and i ended up chucking them out and i bought some F50's but now the Vapor II's are out i thought i would try again, everyone says theres no difference but there is for me.

I have played a few games now with the Vapor II's and so far their superb alot better than previous versions, so i reckon they have altered them for 2004 - alot more comfortable and i play in a size 10, FG, and i have wide feet and no problems :)

haha i have all the same boots as razorblade.

chrome r9s, white f50s, mist blues, and orange flames.

its really dependant on luck, the chromies gave me monjo blisters but the flames were / are more comfy than the mist blues. :)

Whoa, I thought that picture had been forgotten! I did that with Photoshop 7.0 . The method is a little complex if your new with it, but if you really want to know I guess I could PM you the way. Ive done better since I posted that pic. It looks a little grainy.

Those Pearl vapors seem to have a lot of stitching on them. Most vapors, the stitching is minimal on the boots. Nice colour though.

i think it those have more stitching because they are the vapor K's, not the normal vapors, and i think the K's always have more stitching, but im not sure

Today at a soccer game i saw some guys wearing the unreleased AZT 90 III. One had the chrome ones with the red circle and the other guy had the black ones with the grey circle. I went up to them and asked them were they had gotten them and supposedly their coach knows someone who works for Nike and thats how the coach got them. Another thing that amazed me is for how much they got them. I couldnt believe it. He said he got each pair for $10  !!!

Hey fellas, I'm new to the board but I think I can solve the problematic questions that keep coming up on this thread. I am a semi professional footballer here in England and I have been wearing Mercurial Vapors for 2 and a half years. I have owned six pairs of these WONDERFUL boots in the following colours:

    Mercurial Vapor: Cinder/Yellow, White/Silver, Black/Surf Blue
    Mercurial Vapor II: Surf Blue/Red, Cinder/Yellow, Gold/Black

Firstly before anybody says it, there are big differences between the Mercurial Vapor and the Mercurial Vapor II. Don't look so shocked, it's not a marketing gimmick by Nike. The Vapor's were always good boots and to be honest if you are constantly getting blisters regardless of the amount of time you have owned them this is not a fault by the company, this is simply buying boots that are too small. I wear size 10 Total 90 III's, and size 11 Vapor's. They both fit perfectly well. Obviously, as with any tight fitting shoe you are bound to wear them in, and you will notice that you will get rubbing at first. It's best not to try and combat it with anything, just wear them to training and take an alternative pair of boots, and if the pain get too much (Which it won't) you can change. I personally recommend you wear soccer socks to the store so you can see whether the boots actually fit or not.

So basically the difference between Vapor's and Vapor II's is indeed the heel. It is reworked to contour to your foot quicker and give you less hassle. Plus I personally think they are designed better and they have definitely ironed out the flaws of the original.

People also ask what effect does the Vapor have on your game. As long as you know your game you will see differences. Yes, the Vapor gives you more shot power. Yes, you can direct the shot better as you get a cleaner contact. Yes, you can curve the ball more than before. The only thing I cannot give you an answer to is whether or not it makes you quicker. If your slow in the first place, then no. But either way it has helped me make a vast improvement in my game and I really can't see another boot challenging it in the near future. Therefore, if you are a striker, and you are contemplating buying a pair, yes, get them. At least so you personally can say you have tried them.

If you have any further questions feel free to ask but hopefully I have solved the arguments that clearly have continued for a long time!

P.S. if you want a tip on colours, get the Mist Blue Vapor II's. They are on delivery to me now. ;)

well i heard that shoes dont cost that much to make, and if they got them directly from nike then that explains it.

In the Man U - Arsenal game Thierry Henry appears to be wearing the K vapors in a dark blue/black colour with a white stripe around the heel counter.
