In my experience the Chinese can be a lot like Greeks. AKA they think they invented everything.

they did invent a hell of a lot. It helped that china was the trade centre of ancient human civilisation. a great portion of first usage is shared between them and india.

No offense, but it´s still buffering to read something like this. KdB is a great player, but I could never in a million years see where he´d be a better player overall then Goetze.

I still think those rumors about Juve are kinda weird. You wouldn´t read so much fuzz about it, if there wouldn´t be some sort of truth in it. As far as I could understand Mario wanting to leave, I could not understand it to be Juventus. I seriously hope they can convince him to stay at least until next season to wait for our new coach (Kl**p). ;-)

You don't need a million years. Let me put things into perspective. Granted KdB had only 1 sensational year in a top league but he carried that squad to 2nd spot almost single-handedly. MG was never our best player. At the most he was our 3rd best player but in each of years he represented the 1st team, he couldn't out perform 2 or more of Sahin, Kagawa, Barrios, Lewandowski, Reus, Gundogan, Hummels over the course of a season. Mind you he was and would still be a terrific team player and was always part of our core. We couldn't have won the double and then come 2nd + CL final without him.

However, it's not a stretch to say that if we had KdB within our ranks we would have been in the top 4 last season.

LoL ... Götze never in a million years will have a season as good as De Bruyne just had and Götze both in BvB and Bayern were surrounded with WAAAAAAY more talent.

De Bruyne is a better player. Period.

Defense was the biggest issue last season..

Conceded one terrible goal after another.

I'm not convinced about KdB in bayern as you are.. I think he'll have just as much chance flopping here as gotze is made out to be :/

Sure, but it highlights the fact that Gotze is being overvalued by quite a bit.

I don't think we'd have a single point less if we didn't have Gotze, seriously.

I won't disagree with you, but I just don't feel like KdB will suddenly take us to God mode or something..

I think he can flop with us just as easily, we don't have a crystal ball to know exactly.

I don't think we even need him, but I wouldn't particularly mind if we transferred in KDB and shipped off Gotze.

Chances are you would have more points given that you would have replaced him with somebody who would have been a better addition to the team.

The only good thing about the Götze transfer is to see the butthurt BVB fans and officials.

Speaking of Götze, Bild says he's hired a personal nutritionist and worked on his fitness.

We at least need to give him the month of August to show what he's got. He has the right work ethic.

I'm happy to say the time-table to replace some of our key players of the 2012/13 treble already looks much better than 2 months ago, simply because of the Vidal transfer. Schweinsteiger's positional profile would have caused us major headaches going forward. His declining mobility and physique made him less of a box-to-box midfielder each season, whereas the Chilean is extremely comfortable in an area where Schweinsteiger only played grudgingly and performed subpar.

    Possible time-table going forward:

    2015: Vidal for Schweinsteiger
2016: Höjbjerg to take over as the starting #6 from Alonso
Kevin de Bruyne to succeed Franck Ribéry
2017: Joshua Kimmich to grow slowly but surely take over playing time from Philipp Lahm
Possibly a major transfer to succeed Arjen Robben even though the Dutchman (as well as Lahm) seem to age very well

Does that mean Alonso is our starting #6 now?

Is it just me or should Lahm be our right back which would open a spot in midfield. New here. Thanks guys

Absolutely not. Maybe for BL games against weak opposition, but he should definitely not be starting in the KO stages of the CL. Vidal, Alaba and Thiago in that stage of the competition and we'll be set. That would be one tough midfield to crack and even harder to contain.

I hope he finds his "eggs" by then. I'm expecting great things this season. 2 seasons of 'meh' footie doesn't cut it for me.

Welcome aboard. Hope you have fun here

I think the Vidal transfer means Lahm would have to play more as a RB. Vidal when fit plays
