Piggy's time to play football was far from done, what about Alonso, his time is not done yet but Piggy yes? He wanted out, and he lost some respect from me. Not the club. What disappoints me is out transfer policy. We will not keep pace with the other biggest clubs like this and we will not go pass the semis. I need to know what Pep has in mind, and if he will stay. He played so many different styles and formations that i don't know what his final product is, two years he is here and he is saying we can do better and we are still working on it. For now, i am angry, and i don't think we go to a good direction.
Piggy makes sense for United who need to improve in the premiership - largely against weaker teams Bayern don't really have that issue. vs the likes of Rakitic it was clear Piggy was not physically up to it. Maybe it was lack of match fitness, or maybe he is just too old now. The same was clear with Alonso - he was physically not up to the Barca or Porto games.
So far our net transfer spending this summer and last is 0 or even a slight profit. We are flush with cash from new sponsoships, premium partner deals, and a new adiddas deal. The relative quiet on the transfer front makes me think the FO has something massive in the works.
An important question is why do German stars want to leave Bayern for other teams...? I think that question will be answered in the near future when the bald headed idiot is out the door. But at that point the team will be completely decimated and completely devoid of German talent. Pep has been a disaster and I fear it only gets worse from here. Time will tell, but in the meantime everyone tell themselves that Kroos sucks and Schweinsteiger is old while they watch a broke ass Thiago who is made of glass and old fart Alonso running the midfield. I expect the next moves out will be Gotze for certain and possibly Muller who is not respected enough by the bald headed idiot.
Even if its quiet, I think the FO knows who to splash the cash on. I remember the outrage about Javi costing 40m euros. I havent seen a move that says, "we're buying just to buy" some of our sells have been head scratchers, but for the most part our buys have been excellent.
This, or much more concerning, is not having any kind of plan for transfers, which I am more inclined to believe. Also, knowing our history with transfers and all the media outlets in Germany usually being in the know about transfers before they become official, leads me to believe that our FO/Pep may just be satisfied with the current squad, which to me would be very concerning.
Yeah we always hear the stories Schweini was old and Kroos sucks... like the fox that couldnt catch the grapes and said they are sour. Kroos was not a world beater but he is certainly better than Goetze.
Ever since Reschke came into the picture the transfers have been kept very quiet until they were nearing completion.
No, I'm serious. How can a GERMAN club keep buying players who speak a Romance language? Bayern is losing its identity, soon enough even the custodians at Sabaner Strasse will be replaced with Spaniards. Eventually, KHR and the board of directors will conduct their meetings using a mix of Spanish and Portuguese. By 2020, Pep will lead a revolution and try to secede from fascist club FC Báyern, claiming that Alliança Camp has a unique Catalonian identity that should be preserved and should secede from the rest of Bavaria thus becoming East Catalonia, the counterpart to the much larger, now independent West Catalonia. Unfortunately, the same ills that befell East and West Pakistan will plague the new born sovereign nation. East Catalonia will finally be called Pepalonia after all is said and done.
I was really hoping it was. Bayern Munich 2000/2001: Eleven players whose mother tongue isn't German Bayern Munich 2012/2013: Ten players those mother tongue isn't German (CL winning team) Bayern Munich 2015/2016: Twelve players whose mother tongue isn't German Yeah our "German identity" is screwed.
I think that "German identity" is a nice little catchphrase for "doing stuff I don't like". Don't like Pep? GERMAN IDENTITY! Don't like Alonso or Bernat? GERMAN IDENTITY! Don't like Schweinsteiger leaving? GERMAN IDENTITY! That being said, I do think Bayern are subtly conscious of having a roughly 50-50 split between Germans and foreigners. It doesn't happen by accident IMO.
Not only that but always trying to have a large and talented faction of the NT too. Its how I started following anyway...
If Bayern stands pat after Costa on the transfermarket then this is going to be a disaster not only for the rebuild but also for the immediate season as it ignores a glaring hole on the 8 position (Lahm, Alonso, Rode, Martinez, Kimmich, PEH are 6s)
