The logo lacks imagery & inspiration and just feels generic. They really missed an opportunity to create an iconic brand with the firebird/phoenix imagery. If you're going to base your primary logo on the letter "A," at least name the team "Atlanta Athletic." Makes much more sense.
I really like this. Even if they didn't use all of it, there are so many good pieces to be taken and applied to the logo.
I guess people really wanted a phoenix huh? YYYYUUUUPPPP a couple days after the team has officially played more games as the red bulls than the metrostars, here comes atlanta to pick at the colors and vertical stripes...
A for Atlanta, like C for Chicago, T for Toronto and NYC for New York City. why the hell do they need to be called athletic to justify an A for an Atlanta team?
Well, here's the first round of merchandise: Andy Bulldog said: ↑ https://21peachstreet.wordpress.com...nited-fc-merchandise-is-now-available-to-buy/ I think the logo looks even lamer on the t-shirts than it did just by itself.
As bland, generic, and unexciting as mediocre mashed potatoes. The visual design doesn't inspire any strong emotion at all...
here are the options I can come up with Blank already had this name picked out before they even started. Blanks kids threw a hissy fit because their favorite team is Man U so Blank gave in and named them United They were 100% concerned with not picking something innovative and edgy they intentionally went for as bland as they could with name, logo and colors They are just plain idiots and think this is innovative and inspiring
Wait a minute! https://21peachstreet.wordpress.com/2015/06/26/atlanta-united-fc-mls-name-darren-eales/ “We were always going to listen to our fans, and it came back loud and clear that this was a name they identified with and that they felt fit Atlanta,” (Darren) Eales said. So this is the name Atlanta fans wanted. Then why is everyone complaining?
The teams you reference have some elements of imagery to reinforce their brand in the form of the Florian's Cross/6 point star (CHI), Maple Leaf (TFC), and Pentagon (NYCFC). This is a primary purely based on the letter "A" with no other elements at all. So generic, it could be mistakened for Austin, Arizona, Albuquerque, Alaska, etc...
yeah out of a list of 10 words it is the word that people picked as associating with soccer. Their method for picking this name is the most flawed methodology I have ever seen.
I guess this is my gripe. If that's what you're going to call it; just do it. Don't pretend the fans had a voice. I got no problem with Blank saying, "I just spent $100M (or whatever) for this team; they are playing in my football stadium; and I'm calling them Atlanta United FC." I would stand up and salute you, sir.
They both stole the University of Alabama's logo. I circle with a letter in it. Except Alabama's looks good.
I stand corrected. According to the YouTube video, the logo does have elements designed into it. 5 stripes meant the represent the 5 pillars of sheer bull$h*t this FO is all about. Listen to your supporters. They could've helped you come up with something way better then this. They deserve better than this half-assed effort.
