Cropper is a fantastic prospect. It's going to be hard to unseat him. He is a total-package keeper who plays with competitiveness, purpose, and intelligence. You never know with these young players, but I could see Cropper as the next Guzan.
That's all relative. What matters is what they look like when they're in your squad. Cropper is the best US keeper prospect I have seen in a while. I haven't seen full games from Horvath, and he may be just as good...I don't know. I can say that Cropper is solid though.
He did pitch a shutout in his first career start: A heartbreaking return for Joshua Gatt overshadows Ethan Horvath's shutout.http://t.co/dV6JQblGZw #USMNT— Yanks Watch (@yanks_watch) May 22, 2015
Molde won their third round Cup match 4-0 against lower league opposition, but Horvath was on the bench for this one.
Big news for Horvath: Nyland signs with Ingolstadt Will Horvath take over as #1? Or will Molde bring in another GK? We shall see. If the latter, at least the new GK will likely be less formidable competition than Nyland.
I know nothing of Horvath but it has to be a pretty good sign to be starting for one of the best Norwegian clubs at age 20
Just missed the shutout. Goal conceded in 90+1. http://www.flashscore.com/match/xbXtVRTG/#match-summary
The goal Horvath allowed was chiefly due to terrible defending in front of him, but even so, I felt he was too tentative coming off of his line. Either stay back and try to stop the shot or come harder and try to smother it.
Facing Romero's Pyunik in the Champions League Second Qualifying round: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015–...se_and_play-off_round#Second_qualifying_round
Horvath went 90 in a 1-0 home loss to Haugesund. The goal was scored after a striker received the ball behind the defense and finished low past Horvath. Wouldn't have been an easy one to stop. I saw another highlight where a forward had an open look inside the box and tried to five-hole him but Horvath managed to block the shot away. Great experience for the youngster.
Ethan is between the pipes today/tonight and he will look to stop shots from another fellow Yank in Cesar Romero. Battle of Yanks in the Champions League...love it!!
Big win as Molde will almost certainly move on to the next round barring a total collapse in the second leg.
There's a gallery here: http://www.rbnett.no/bildeserier/article11317236.ece Ethan is in the team photo and the below one. I have no idea what Cesar Romero looks like, unfortunately.
Thank you! And yes, not a clue what Mr. Romero looks like... Although it was just a qualifier, shouldn't the jerseys have the CL patch on them? Last year when Arsenal played Besiktas I believe Arsenal had them on their sleeves.
Started and got a yellow card in a 1-2 loss to Zarek Valentin and Danny Cruz' Bodo/Glimt. http://us.soccerway.com/matches/201.../fotballklub-bodoglimt/1975133/?ICID=PL_MS_10
