Was about to post this from someone's instagram, this guy called hanboots, if anyone heard of. He seems to have many pairs of the new releases before anyone else does or rather, before it hits shelves.

Btw I think the designs are nice though, keeping it simple with just 2 colors and nothing too fanciful.

Yea, I suspect its cause Nike boots are all mostly made in Vietnam, I know a guy in Indonesia and China who used to get Mizuno and Puma products respectively earlier.

did ask him if there was anything special about the leather for the Legend V's if it was going to be like the Totti ones.

Anybody have an idea where I can find some Elastico Finale 2s other than ebay? I would like to stock up on them (size 7 US), but looks like ebay doesn't have too many listings either. Elastico finale 3 was such a huge step down from the 2s other than the outsole. Just couldn't shake off the feeling that I was wearing those cheap neoprene pool shoes.

Also, how long did it take for you guys to get used to the Obra? I'm still breaking them in, but it seems like I can't get any power behind the ball when I'm passing/shooting the ball. Maybe it's because of the padded liner and all I've been wearing for the past 5 years have been Adizeros and Vapors, or maybe it's because I still haven't gotten used to the mid-cut design..Thoughts?

Although I've never been much of a fan of SF mainly because of how they fit my foot - those look amazing!

They are from the Spray pack. Due date unknown.

By the way, I tried these out today...not a big fan.
The upper is not as flexible as vapor and there is dead space along the inner side of the mid foot.
This is probably due to my foot shape but with vapors I had no such problem.
Overall it's not as comfortable as vapor x, even vapor ix is a little better.
Although brands like Nike claim that thinner upper simulates barefoot feeling, I don't feel that way,
simply because it won't move naturally with your foot as leather boots do.
I can feel the dynamic fit collar during play. By no means it's a design targeted at performance - you can always feel it's there but it does not support your ankle or anything.

Really disappointed with Nike that it focuses on gimmicks.
The only boot I really enjoyed by Nike is CTR360 maestri 2 - reasonable design, nice performance, simple and elegant colorways. Sadly we don't see that kind of boot from neither Nike or Adidas.
    Going back to my Morelia!

The only gimmick that Nike has at the minute is the dynamic fit collar - and they are just slapping that on any old boot and charging an extra £120 for the pleasure (such as the awful hyper venoms) I agree its sad that its come to this when Nike had some right banging boots back in the day - I absolutely loved my CTR Elites such a beautiful boot.

You can't try a boot out for a day and get decent feel for it's fit and comfort. Sure there are a few exceptions (not better example than the Maestri 2) but in general, and particularly a lot of new boots, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Use the entire one month free period Nike allows for wears, play in them 10-15 times. If they don't feel right return them for a refund.

Anyone have any experience with the leather MagistaX Proximo Street?

I'm curious about how the leather and FlyKnit feels and how the durability is.

I got a pair of these and spending the last two months in my closet, they seem really sturdy :D The leather is soft to the touch, but they're still stiff, I won't be using these until at least Oct / Nov. but they feel solid.

appleCORR: I understand why Nike decided to modify Hypervenom like that. The first generation has 2 problems IMO - support system and durability, and they are more or less dealt with in the 2nd gen. I just feel that Nike has over-done it. The design on HypervenomX Finale seems better (haven't tried it myself) - just add cables on the upper of the 1st gen.
And I agree - CTR360 I elite in blue-black colorway is just gorgeous.

chrome_vapors: I agree that I might be unfair about the boot. The pair feels just not right for me. But I will keep them a little longer and see if anything changes. Thanks

Any clue when it will be released? FootyHeadlines just has it listed as "August". I have a friend going to the US in mid-August and ideally I'd like her to pick a pair up for me since collared boots are almost impossible to get in Canada.

I have a question for people who have bought the high end nike shoes recently... is the dynamic fit collar legit or just a gimmick? I usually get shoes from the mercurial line but seeing that all the top tier shoes have that collar turns me off. I have a very specific ankle guard that I separately put on and I also have specific socks that work well with my feet that add extra padding to that ankle area already making my ankle area bulky. I'm afraid that the added collar from the cleats will be too much and make my ankles look like they are bulging out and possibly mess up my technique. I rather not have the collar if this problem forces me to change what is already comfortable and that I have used for many years. Would anyone recommend cutting the collar off or would that be a bad idea?

I have the Vapor X and the Elastico Superflys and I can say I prefer the Vapors in almost every way. I'm personally not a fan of the dynamic fit collar, it's just too gimmicky. It does offer a "seamless fit" as advertised but it's really minimal and once you get used to it you completely forget about it. It actually made my heel blister, and from what I've read is a common problem with the dynamic fit collar (although I heard they fixed this with the new Hypervenom).

About the ankle guard, I had to use one for a while and to be honest it was pretty tough getting it to fit in both boots, though it fit a bit better in the superflys. The dynamic fit collar actually stretches quite a bit. It was almost impossible getting them to fit in the Vapors though because of how tight it is due to the tongueless design. I would go to a store and try both of them on with your ankle brace and see how they fit.

I haven't tried cutting the collar but I have heard from a few people that it can seriously affect durability. I wouldn't recommend it, especially since they're almost a $300 pair of boots.

They are good shoes but the collar is just a gimmick. I ended up hating putting the shoes on so much that I sold them. I don't think the ankle guard would be very comfortable in shoes with the collar.

The superfly are the best boots I've ever woorn, but I have narrow flatter feet and skinny ankles.
I am also a HUGE fan of flyknit.

If I were you id try some on, with your current set up. I would only recommend cutting them if you love flyknit like I do, or if you don't care about them falling apart. Don't think that would happen but it could.

The collar isn't really support or anything. I don't care about it either way, it's the flyknit I care about

Cutting it hasn't affected mine one bit.

Collars pretty useless, but I prefer the upper to the vapors.

well, I'm going to go against the grain and say that I absolutely love the collar for some reason. I got the elastico superflys and loved the collar. blocks those pesky rubber crumbs from coming in and i forget I'm wearing the shoe sometimes cause it feels part of my feet. I've got slightly weaker ankles and they do feel like they're doing the job of my ankle guards too. A large part of this is just placebo effects, but well, they still work for me.

I know, I sound like an advertisement but I really loved it so much I got the Obras just for the collar too. Love the flyknit upper too but the DFC is what really sold it for me.

This boils down to personal preferences I think - some prefers to feel supportive around the ankle area, some don't.

As for preventing the rubber crumbs from coming in, if a low cut shoe fits you well enough around the "mouth", it will do the job. Morelia neo for example with a lower cut than vapor/f50 and a super short tongue, doesn't allow rubber crumbs in on my feet. Synthetic upper shoes tend to have a more plasticky mouth and leaves space around the ankle when you bend your foot, that space allows crumbs in. Even vapor as a tighter fitting shoe has this problem.

definitely, but it seems like all i've heard were bad ones so I felt compelled to put in a positive review for balance =P

well, for some reason, all my boots have allowed rubber crumbs in, even the Estrela Neo's and it really really gets to me cause it causes blisters sometimes when it gets stuck and i gotta wait till half time to remove it.

I have a pair of the elastico superfly. I got the black and volts on launch. I love the flyknit and fit. However the collar is pretty much pointless. It'd just an obstacle to put your foot in the boot. I have wide feet , i literally have to put my foot in at an angle because of the collar. Its a hassle.
The collar started to give me blisters in my heel. I had to fold them half way down to counter that.
If there were elastico supefly in AG , I would be a customer for life. The flyknit is amazing. However that's why there is the mercurial superfly line.
