Dallas comes into KC for our 5th round US Open Cup match. We're off this coming weekend, while Dallas has a home game against New England. We should be able to put out a fairly strong lineup for this game, minus de Jong and Zusi who have left for the Gold Cup. Dallas meanwhile will have 5 guys that were called up for the Gold Cup missing, including Blas Perez.

    Something like

    - Nemeth Dwyer Peterson
    - Feilhaber Espinoza
    - Mustivar
    - Dia Ellis Besler Myers

Our after Gold Cup callup team could have looked a lottttttttt worse.

Roger, Soni, and Bes could have easily all been gone (Not even mentioning Benny). Lucked out, hope we can take advantage.

    Nemeth Dwyer Hallisey
    Espinoza Mustivar Feilhaber
    Dia Besler Ellis Anibaba
    Melia

Chance is still working towards full match fitness, he basically went the Full 90 but I would bet his recovery is slower than others. Dia for de Jong and Hallisey for Zusi.

That's totally fair with Chance, for some reason Anibaba slipped my mind.

I never bet against Vermes giving Jacob Peterson the nod though lol

Can whats his face (Anor) get a run out, or are we just done with him? I checked sportingkc.com and sure enough, he's still listed! I dont recall the last time he was even in the gameday roster.

Not overly, we need 2 goalkeepers, STL is out, he won't play unless Melia gets hurt I'd say.

Between Anor and Alex Morgan's husband, there has not been much action on the pitch of late, although Carrasco does get featured in that halftime bit they do on the big screen making fun of various teammates' photos.

Tornado watch. Right now storms are east of Sporting Park, but there could be more development. Keep an eye on things if you're heading out there.

Other than the fact I spent the first half worrying about my house, this has been fun.

Hey cauldron, when we were 6-1 up, did you "believe that we will win?" Seriously, i think that should be the end of that chant. Please... Have mercy.

I second this. If we're up by more than one goal. Please bury that chant.

Good old fashioned ass whipping... FU Dallas. I thought the lineup was insulting.

There were so many things to take away from this game its hard to list them all...
    1. Dwyer...on fire
    2. Nemeth..clinical
    3. Benny..set up artist
    4. Peterson..the perfect pass in the box to Nemeth
    5. Ellis..5 ft tall playing like he was 6'4".
    6. Mustivar..never gave an inch
    7. Roger... big question.. turned down Gold Cup to work on his fitness? He was a beast last night. He was running just as strong and hard at the last whistle as he was at the beginning of the game. I've never seen him play a stronger game than last night.
    8. Shameful performance by an uninspired and sloppy FC Dallas team.
    9. The center ref called a good game except for the no call on Je-Vaughn Watson for his studs up tackle on Jake Peterson.
    10. This is the same kind of ass-kicking loss in Dallas that was the final straw for Curt Onalfo. Oscar Pareja might need to start freshening up his resume...

I don't know FCD that well but noticed no Castillo in their XI. Fair to say that FCD treated this like an old reserve league match?

Looked like a decent crowd on hand from the highlights.

Haven't seen Nemeth's goal from the highlights. The reaction on Twitter was something. From what I can tell, I almost get the feeling that nemeth is the younger and more ideal version of the player PV wanted when he signed Bieler. Someone with just that little extra bit of composure and technical ability. He seems to be enjoying himself.

Was a weak lineup from Dallas, only 4 regular starters. No Castillo, no Diaz

They had five called up to Gold Cup duty. Including Diaz and Castillo in the midfield. They didn't phone it in as much as they just didn't have a team to play with.
