Are you going to be 1 of the 1,500?

    I sure will be.

No more BWP on the left wing please, taking him further away from goal is not what's going to bring him out of his slump. He was completely invisible all game against RSL, no shots taken or chances created. If Marsch still thinks Abang deserves to start, I hope its in a 4-4-2 alongside BWP.

You know it's funny, but with the presumed future Blew York Citeh group of Miix - Lampard - Pirlo you'd have a trio of two-way center mids ala the Red Bulls only with 10 if not 20 times the salary. I'll be interested to see if they can get 20 times the results.

I suppose it could be a way to balance the small dimensions but this field is soooo slow. It looks like the Red Bulls are playing on velcro.

Hard to believe this is the same team that lost 4 in a row. Great result. Really impressed by Abang. Good to see BWP involved more. RB supporters could be heard on TV. Next up........Cosmos Wednesday night.

Amazing how much better the team looks when Kljestan actually plays like a CAM! Fantastic second half from him, feels like he could have had 4-5 assists by the end.

Man of the match has to be Miazga though. Kept Villa in his pocket and scored the insurance goal, just about a perfect performance.

Glad to see BWP make more runs towards goal from that left wing after he was on an island against RSL. Amazing finish on his goal.

If Sacha plays like that the rest of the season, things may not be so bad after all. Was Sam was fit for this game, would have had a field day against those scrubs.

this was the first time he's really stood out to me with red bulls. and i was a sacha fan back from the chivas usa days. wp had a great twenty minutes, although he got a little sloppy after that and we know he's not that good in the run of play. the game turned when red bulls took over midfield, which was due also to how poor the nycfc midfielders are.

I think Twellman said that Miazga's goal was his 1st for Red Bull. Nice header!.

Best game from Sacha I have seen so far. If he plays like this we will be fine. F Zubar aleady, I have had enough of his "Balboa-itis". Get a CB this summer.

We could have had 6. Our offense exploded like Jesse after off the bench after Duvals goal.

What a second half. Wow. To bad we can't play NYFC everyweek. We play great against these guys.

In the 23rd minute, the City fans saw Andrea Pirlo on the jumbotron and began chanting, "We want Pirlo." It was about that time the Red Bulls began surging ahead, taking control. You have to wonder about the message that front-running NYCFC fans are sending the players on the field when what they most want is someone who's not in the game or on the team; an over-priced, aging European with a name.

No matter what else happens, if City do sign Pirlo, they have to win MLS Cup. Anything else is a complete and utter failure.

Then they would take a spot from BWP, and you saw how BWP defends.

Boy City was shambles last night. You have to beat up on $hit teams and we did. Good on our boys.

Supporters brought the thunder. They were visible and audible. That was the highlight of the night for me.

Pretty sure winning MLS Cup isn't the only way to avoid failure.

Use the second half of the season to make a little run and see what they can do in the Playoffs. Thats acceptable for year 1.

Lucky for them they have owners that want to bring in some excitement. And man, do they need it. That team truly sucks.

nycfc is a lousy team. an expansion team. granted. but you're playing the first home derby and you put out a team with only one forward who isn't a center forward anyway? jason? were you afraid of too much excitement? shelton or mullins instead of ballouchy would have been the least kreis could have done for the first ever yankee stadium derby.

I guess my point is that City is spending big to get big results. Mediocrity isn't in the equation, whether it is this season or beyond, this is the path they've chosen. Rather than give them a pass, seeing as how all the talk was about the talk about the hype about all the big names, why not hold them to their own standard? I mean City was supposed to be doing things better. They were NY 2.0. I don't see how they've reinvented the wheel, especially seeing how their players and fans ended the game with tails tucked between legs. But that doesn't let them off the hook.

Yeah not sure why Kreis tried to match our formation, our midfield is way better than theirs man to man, we were always going to win that battle. Sucks for them that Nemec is a bust, they needed an actual target striker. Miazga was absolutely abusing Villa on every single ball played into our half.

miazga's job was made a lot easier by the fact that villa was playing in a desert, and in those conditions as target for balls played into the offensive half he wasn't that hard to handle. and for about 65 minutes out of 90 there weren't even any balls being played forward at all. the test would have been in trying to handle villa while a lot of offensive pressure was being created.

If you are just trying to bust their chops then I am down for that. These guys blow like the wind. Was great to rip them to shreds in front of a packed Yankee stadium. Outside of the first 15 minutes, they were garbage. And THAT field. Its like a squeezing a 3 pound sausage into a 2 pound bag.

Think about it though, why would these guys be good? They're an expansion team. On what planet was Mix and Davide Villa going to RIP through this league. It takes a while to get things up and running, doesnt it? Hype sells tickets. To get fans invested in the club. It doesn't mean they are a good club. How could they be?

It's not even July yet. As of yesterday, they were only 3 points behind us and they are missing Pirlo and Lampard. Then take a few months to get on the same page and see how they do in the playoffs. It's year one. No rational thinking person expects them to win it all THIS year.

Was a great win... 2nd half couldn't get better and we were really the better team after the first 20 minutes.

Miazga excellent all game.... Sacha was great in the 2nd half especially. BWP did a nice job pulling off that goal.

Abang has some really great traits. His positioning still isn't very good.. Offside far too much and should have been in position for tap-ins on two of the crosses from the left side. Remember seeing Grella yelling at him after one and BWP yelling at him on another because it was just so obvious that he should have been there. That said, his effort level is pretty good and his first touch is extremely good at times. He can definitely be great.

Lawrence good as usual but was good to see Duvall have a good game. He needed it.

Sucks Zubar got hurt... I think he's our best defender. GOod at everything when he's out there.

I am enjoying all this Abang love. Twellman was verbally all over him on the broadcast as well.

Somehow, some way I am just not seeing it like most others. Sure he puts in a ton of effort, but I am not not seeing all this fabled "skill". He seems very very raw to me.

We need a number 2 striker so fingers crossed that I am dead wrong about him.

I've found that the difference is between fans who at least loosely followed MLS prior to this year, and those who are only now jumping on the bandwagon. The first group understood that no matter who the DP's are, a brand new roster comprised of 95% MLS cast-offs isn't going to do anything its first year. Its the latter group that honestly believed that the likes of Mix and Villa could storm through entire MLS teams. Those same people now believe that they'll start tearing teams up once Lampard and Pirlo arrive.
