Ospina is better than Szcz. Literally the only reason people think Szcz is better is because he is tall.

Mert, Coq, Arteta, Ox, Welbeck, Nacho, Debucchy, Bellerin, Martinez back in training on Monday.

Most of regular squad reports back in less than 2 weeks.

Maybe only one with extended break would be Sanchez ?

Like he did with Hazard ? Actually I think that was a home visit,

Not feeling confident on this .

"Wage structure" doesn't mean as much to Mancs.

More like he did with Mesut Ozil. Hazard is a chav at heart, as the ballboy at Swansea will attest.

My favorite story about Wenger making the crucial difference in a signing with a personal gesture will forever be Ramsey, if only because United had already announced his signing on their website as he and his family were visiting Wenger in Switzerland.

The Özil one is also great, obviously.

Bottom line, if Wenger really wants Schneiderlin his track record says he'll likely get him, especially now that the financial constraints aren't so hardcore.

United had only announced agreeing a fee for Ramsey on their website. Still premature but not incorrect.

I just watched the ARG-COL match on DVR and it was a cracker. With Ospina playing out of his mind. Complete obvious MOTM. At least 2 truly world class saves. So if Ospina is OK with staying and battling Cech for #1, that's a GREAT position for us to be in. It'll be interesting to see how our new GK soap opera will play out.

Our top wages are Sanchez and Ozil at 140k a week.
If United blows that wage out of the water --and they can easily do so--will AW dare to match ? Of course he can, but he must think about the consequences.

If United blow that kind of money on Schneiderlin they can have him.

Surfing the net, apparently someone went on DirecTV, the Guy who broke the Alexis story, and said that Vidal to Arsenal is a done deal, five years 23 million and transfer fees.

If that's true (who knows at this point?), and we sign Schneiderlin on top of that, then we may finally have the required 15 midfielders it takes to get through an entire Arsenal season!!

We do need a WC striker; having said that, how many are there within Arsenal's price range?

If you can't get the WC striker, might as well bring in players like a Cech who won't let goals in.

Hmmm...you think the lack of chatter regarding someone like Lars or Sven Bender means Arsenal are negotiating for either one?

    This re: Schneiderlin?! o_O

Seriously, if that's the case the Mancs can have him; that's insane money.

Sorry, yes this is in regards to Schneiderlin. I deleted my post b/c the issue was discussed a page or two back. He's a very good player, but not for £150,000/wk.

If he can get it, good for him. And I suppose in the long run good for us?

Tim Payton has no idea what the hell he's talking about, generally.

Schneiderlin is not seeking to triple his wages, ffs. Nobody is paying that.

But if his agent is a d-bag (likely), then he may very well be trying to cash in. And if that's the case, Wenger will bow out long before Woodward will.

United will offer way more in wages for Schneiderlin, which is why I suspect he will go there.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I heard it was a discrepancy between his agents and Arsenal. His preference was here, but he could be headed to Utd instead.

I share this sentiment as well. I don't think Arsene is that into Schneiderlin, otherwise he would have signed him
long time ago. Obviously the player would prefer Arsenal and he has some affinities with Arsene, since they are both from the Alsace region. If he is going to United, it is clear in my mind that may not just be because of money. It may be just because Arsenal did not really wants him or may have an other player on their radar.
